I graduated from Dartmouth when I was 50. They often pushed us in front of the mic (figuratively). Over time we learned to adapt through necessary discomfort. Now, I'm learning again from you. Keep the quality content coming!

1. Before Presenting - Physically ground ourselves with the body (focus on physical sensations) Develop Grounding Techniques. 2. While Presenting - Continue this trend of physical sensation. The way words feel as we speak, how each word sounds as we articulate them clearly. ---- Body movements that will ground your focus in the present moment. 3. Focus outwardly on the individuals in the audience specifically ones that you might feel are more "likable". Focus Is The Key - Keep the "conscience mind" distracted or outwardly focused (Exteroception). If you are thinking about anything besides external stimuli you are most likely leaning toward being in the "conscience mind" (Interoception). Great Content Yasir. New Subscriber

Oh my, you solved my years of problems, I was going under depression man, I thought I never had access to my skills and I lost them because I was not using them enough, the issue was I was operating from my conscious mind rather than the unconscious. Thank you for highlighting this wonderful piece of information. If you had not highlighted this, I would have been stuck for almost another 10+ years, you pushed me 10 years ahead. Thank you for that.

I am really really happy and feeling proud, that someone from our country is such a talented and professional, I like your way of speaking. Mr Yasir i have one problem, my sense of humor is good but the problem is while talking, if someone makes a point on me, my face started blushing, I have words to reply but the problem is my face becoming red, instead of giving reply i start hiding my face from others. but i am becoming good day by day and also after watching this video, now i got why i got too much blushed because my focus is on hiding my face that no one can see and judge me, so i forgot the things, In back days this was my big problem but i made myself understand the process why it is hapening and after watching this video i am more confident, thanks. Can you please make a video related to this? and sorry for bad grammer😅

So. Summary - practise more to get better at articulating.

Practicing is essential but it is only half the battle. My video emphasizes more on the importance of focus before and during the speaking event. You can have the best practice in the world but if you focus on the wrong things, you’re not going to be able to articulate properly.

Wait you're from Pakistan man im from there aswell. I do public speaking and speeches and have been doing so for a year. I gotta say i am now focusing more on developing unconcious competence. But i really like your tips they remind me of what i do. Before a speech i practice a lot and after practicing for a while on the day of the speech i tell myself im not even gonna think about improving an inch or reading my script. Im just gonna do it and do it however feels natural. For me i focus on looking at the audience or my smile. I like to smile a lot. I did this accidently but now watching your video its making me realize that i can do this quite easily in regular speaking if i focus on my words or the other person. Thanks ill subscribe

Excellent video, @speakingwithyasir 👏 Question: It feels awkward practicing without the real audience. What to do about that?
