The laws of power applied to the godfather what a brilliant idea for a video! I read some comments saying Michael is too cold. I don't think so. Yes he is intelligent, analytical and calculated in his actions. But he still feels things deeply, that is why the constant betrayals are hard or him. But he isn't ruled by his emotions when it comes to deciding what to do about it. That's what sets him apart. He is shrouded in mystery. People don't know his plans or thoughts. If they do know, it is by his design and to his advantage.

There is a subtle nuance in power so much that if you can't see it, you're the one being played.

in case you didnt know, the most event that influenced michael is turi guiliano in sicillian novel. turi guiliano was the hero that michael aspired to be, and he was ended up betrayed by his best friend and his life mission to free sicillian people from rome was finally stopped by vito corleone in exchange of michael's life, also by other dons and rome government that wished him dead. so vito's lessons to michael made him moved from heroic's mindset into business' mindset

I am glad to see someone else who read that book.Yes Michael exactly learned soemthing from Guiliano's death and knew you should be more cautious about your friends than your enemies

What I find scary about Micheal is that he was never a wannabe gangster,he even had contempt for the mafia life . When his fathers life was threatened he enters the life as a businessman to preserve and protect the family name. Micheal was cold and detached but totally affective. Must admit in GF3 ( when he was at a much loved old Dons funeral) he says ‘Why were you so loved and I was so feared?’ Micheal knew why. Funny thing is GF3 s a film is not as powerful as the first two but n my humble opinion the confession scene with the priest and Micheal nearly brings me to tears. Eddie Murphy once said that you never know when you are making a great movie but you know when you’re making one that sucks. When they were filming the Godfather I doubt that they realised at they were making a roll Royce of a movie. Could watch it everyday 👍🏾

Michael 6:55 knew about Carlo's accessory tactic talk about keeping your enemies closer after so many years Carlo was unaware of Michael's knowledge pretty scary and smart

Hiding intentions strategically and with intentions can save lives and keep others unaware of darker thoughts.
