Loved this so much. Absolutely brilliant and super helpful, I wasn’t at home when my Juki DDL 8000a was delivered and set up so this was extremely helpful.

I’ve owned my juki for almost 6 months now and sometimes I still run into problems when threading it. This video is THE BEST I’ve found in how to thread these machines! I love how she takes the time to explain what each part dose and the little “Back to front, right to left” saying. Her attitude is great and after following along again I found my Juki is sewing properly again! Thank you for such a wonderful video!

I don't know about all Juki machines, but I guess they all would be similar and according to the DDL-8700 manual, the bobbin was inserted in the case wrong.
@HeartlandFamilyDesigns11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've been sewing for years and the bobbing should go in the case the other direction.

The only thing I don't understand is the manual shows threading the bobbin "counter clock wise". Does this make a difference?
@gplus10002 жыл бұрын
Mine does as well. There are other videos out there that state the bobbin turns counter-clockwise when properly installed.

My manual says I have to put the in the bobbinholder counter clockwise, not clockwise.... ??
@FashionProfessor3 жыл бұрын
I know- I go back and forth on that one honestly! Counter clockwise may be fine! It's one of my troubleshooting steps and sometimes will solve the problem. I notice that what I call clockwise sometimes my students will call the opposite. Maybe I'm just viewing it at a different direction? But that's a good share! Thanks!

Should it spin clockwise in bobbing case.? Literally every other video says it should spin counterclockwise?!? Is this why when I'm sewing I have 3 threads coming out from the plate and very tight? I commented on another video but I'm lost.
@FashionProfessor2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm- so, if the thread is click in the tension clicker correctly I love seen either direction work just fine (clockwise or counter). You definitely don’t want 3 threads coming out ☹️-ugh! No fun! Sewing is suppose to be fun- so I’m sorry you’re dealing with this!!

@FashionProfessor2 жыл бұрын
Try pulling your thread- pull it towards the back of the machine, under the presser foot. Are you able to pull about 6” of thread? Does it pull smooth or bumpy? If it’s bumpy- there something wrong. It it’s smooth, you might have old thread. Once we got a donation of thread but it was super old & would constantly break- we had to toss it

I just bought a brand new machine, and the bobbin has been noting but a nightmare...someone suggested to stick a tooth pick between the prong it helps but not always ." HELP"
@FashionProfessor4 жыл бұрын
Shenaz Uppal oh gosh! That is no fun!!! Sewing should be about piecing together fabric- not fixing machines! What type of machine? In the classroom, most problems by new students is the bobbin is put in backwards- or the thread isn’t threaded right in the tension disc which messes up the bobbin- or students accidentally sew with the presser foot up.

Hi Professor Benson I amhaving trouble with m Juki DU-1181. My string keeps getting jammed but only on the bottom ontop it looks good. Can you possibly make an instructional video? Your other vids have helped me alot thank you so much!!
@FashionProfessor3 жыл бұрын
The maintenance person from OCI is here is my classroom today and I showed him your comment. He says you have a walking foot machine? He says it's a tension problem - he says to check the tension on the bobbin. It may be too tight. You can adjust the bobbin tension on the bobbin case. Or the tension on the top of the machine may be too loose. Hope that helps!

Why is my machine working backward
@FashionProfessor4 жыл бұрын
Ms Thompson is there a small digital box under the table? Sometimes students have accidentally set it to sew backwards! I can’t remember what key to god to reverse the feed dogs! I actually printed it out & taped it to every machine! But because of covid- I’m not in the classroom this semester!!! I’ll keep you posted next time I go back!

@@FashionProfessor there is a small black switch that i found on the left side of the moto i try to shift it forward then I saw a little smoke coming up i switch it off and don't touch it since
@batman6073 жыл бұрын
Teacher, Teacher, HELP !! You forgot to tell us that if we have a brushless servo motor and the switch is on, it doesn’t make any noise because it wont run until the foot pedal is depressed. I was installing my bobbin and accidentally stepped on the foot pedal and yea that’s right the needle went through my finger and stalled the machine. I’ll gladly buy you a bushel of apples if you help me get it out ! ⛑⛑👉 also how about teaching us dummies the correct way a stitch should look when the bobbin and thread tension are set right. ✌️
