I watched this 3x and managed to set the timer on my JUKI TL98Q. It "broke", needle locked, I panicked because I had a quilt to complete and a deadline to meet! Repair folks booked for months so I searched for help and found your instructions; THANK YOU!!!! 👏

Great Tutorial! After many attempts to understand why my stitches were uneven underneath, I took my machine apart, and yep, my needle was knocking against the basket! I followed the tutorial, and I am so chuffed to say, I finally have straight stitches! Looked high and low previously to resolve the problem, with no results. So glad I found you! Thank you so much!

great video! my Juki DU-141 was eating needles so i pulled the rotary hook and found it was seized... upon trying to un-seize it i broke it right where the position finger goes... so i bought a new rotary hook and watched your video for proper setup... man, straight forward and down to earth... my foot was loose too and your video helped me figure out how to align it and now my Juki DU-141 sews like a dream! thank you for your taking the time to make this video!

Thank you Cutsew, I just got an 8700 and have not operated it yet. This video has helped me understand the importance of inserting the bobbin correctly and illustrates clearly how the bobbin thread gets picked up by the needle and why it appears as a loop. Please if you want to improve on this video can you setup with two cameras and show an edited side by side video of the hook and needle alignment in relation to the marks of the needle bar, for in sync and out of sync adjustments?

Hi guys, thanks for the video. I have a question, what would cause the machine to skip a few (in the first 10cm) stitches at the beginning of a garment. I have tried different needles, fabrics and threads etc. Always the first few cm of sewing. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
@Siriusaor2 жыл бұрын
Great and detailed! But I got a question. Or at least something like that. I am sewing neoprene with nylon thread, the normal timing didn't work, so I change it a bit, the needle goes a bit further down the bottom marks and I synchronize it with the going up usual mark. This is to give more gap to make the thread hoop down the fabric.... This works, I managed to do the stiching without loosing any. The question would be if this is good for the Machine or I'm doing stupid changes... Those 2 materials together are a nightmare, maybe I am not using the right needle (DB 12-80)... Thankyou for the advice

Hello! I bought a used juki machine but am afraid it might be too busted for me to use. It is hard to crank the hand wheel and I don't know why. I have oil but didn't put it in yet, because I wanted more guidance on what to do. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated 🙏
@CutSew Жыл бұрын
While I can't diagnose a problem on a used purchase with little information, I will say the handwheels on these machines are kinda stiff to begin with. If you really want to try and get it going, we do offer a service where a tech can facetime with you to try and fix it. Starts at $50.00. www.cutsew.com/phone-or-video-consult.html

So, if I use another needle but a 90/14 I'll have to retime it? The manual is wrong unless it means "capable" of 9/65-18/110" but as the needles get thicker will they start to rub on hook? Or is the ditch on that side of the needle keep it at the same spot no matter what size? Makes sense after seeing this that thicker needles may rub that hook. If that's true then the manual should say that. They make it sound like you can throw anything from a 9/65-18/110 needle in as long as dbx1 or whatever it it I also know that above that size the dbx1 needle shank is 2mm instead of 1.68mm or whatever. So maybe that's what they mean is the needle bar can take those sizes and with adjustments can be set for different sizes. But man that would slow you down having to go from 90-110 for denim and having to do this every time lol I'll be calling today with a few questions and possibly ordering one of these
@2010stoof3 жыл бұрын
I've successfully used an 80/12 with mine. But maybe below that or above 100/18 may need retime.
