Jade I love the fact you make sure your videos are accessible for everyone. When you talk about working at your desk you make sure to also talk about how to adapt this when you don't have a large study space of the luxury of multiple rooms to work in. I have a triple room at uni and it can be really hard to focus sometimes when you don't have somewhere else to go to but these tips are super useful, especially if you share study space!! ❤️

There are many reasons not to have your camera on during zoom classes that aren't weird, you have to work in a common area and there are people going back and forth behind you, you don't have great wifi, so having your camera on means you can't learn as well, or if the lecture is being recorded and your a minor and they aren't allowed to record your likeness.

A tip for anyone struggling with bad posture and/or backpain during working on you laptop: get one of those big inflatable fitness balls. Swap you chair with one of those from some period. Sitting on that ball requires an active sitting position and automaticly improves posture. You can find cheap ones for less than 20 euros on the internet(or maybe share one ball with your flatmates 😉) I know it helped me alot in improving my posture during work, i have a lot less backpain

Also today I'm grateful for autumn!! It's getting kind of hard study online, most of the days I don't even get out of the house and I'm getting in a weird mental state. So I went for a walk with my parents at the river and it was so beautiful! The sun was shining so it was kind of warm, and the trees were in bright colours, so I'm grateful for that.

Honestly the video thing is such a game changer for your mental health. I'm working from home (apparently until March?) And at the start of lock down there were no rules for having cameras on, then in summer (August?) they were like "mandatory having cameras on" even if it's just a quick 5 min chat with your boss. The amount of difference that has made to my mental health and feeling lonely is astounding. I also make a point of doing a chore while listening to company comms as they're broadcasts rather than meetings I need to be present for. Usually I fold laundry or do the dishwasher, two birds one stone yaknow? Also I had a recent realisation of what "job satisfaction" is and for me the thing that makes me feel like I've had a good day is working really hard on fixing a problem and that making someone else happy. I work in an arms reach branch of the NHS and a trainee was having techy issues and we were on the phone everyday for like 2 weeks and I finally cracked it. I allowed myself an unprofessional "good news - I fixed the thing :D " with my email to her and I literally danced for joy. Like I haven't felt proud of what I do for a living for a long time, like it's just admin but I know I really helped someone out. Idk it was nice feeling like I mattered for 5 minutes 😂

So I have been at *remote learning for 2 months*, *I have barely seen my friends... we don't really talk, they never check upon me, I feel that I am a loner.* I have taken Biology, History and Maths at AS Level, the main issue is that I haven missed 15 lessons of Maths and I didn't do it at GCSE Higher Tier, so I've had a C at Intermediate, so I am veryyyy behind! I usually sit in my room having to deal with real OCD, Depression and my inability to concentrate because I am hyperactive... with my ADHD, I am still coping and having good B's for my History and Biology, even though I wasn't meant to take these, because I have had C for my English and History, and I am trying to it with Maths, doing my best. Another problem is I don't even know what my future career will look like, I really do feel like the government have abandoned us. The only reason why I am coping, is because of the tips you have given me, I believe that I can do it, I believe that any hard work will pay off, and make me stronger. Now I know how hard AS could get, I know what techniques to use and I am not planning to give up. I just wanted you to know that there are millions of people, who are also devastated and scared, however if you will be persistent and if you will believe in yourself, because you are doing great and the reason why you are where you are, is because of your hard work and because you are amazing! Keep it up and remember that there will always be a place for you, there's always a way out. One thing I am sure of is that you haven't abandoned yourself, because you are reading this comment and that is the greatest strength and quality you may ever have. If I can, then we all can get through this crisis, I believe in you becoming a better person and really living a great life, because you have the courage and power! Don't let intrusive thoughts to undermine how truly amazing you can be)) *Thank you Jade, you really are a life changing woman) :D*
