The riverside post office is a 2 story(if i remember correctly) big building with (confirmed) a huge storage of books in the back. I'm just using it to take the books, but I guarantee it would make a sick base Here's a tip from my playthrough so far: carpentry let's you build walls too tall for zombies to cross, you just make a frame, then right click, you'll see the options there. I prefer not using lvl 1 walls, I think you can still see through them Read the carpentry 1 book fully for a huge multiplier for exp, find restaurants, they'll have wooden furniture galore for you to dissassemble with your toolkit of a screwdriver, hammer, saw, and melee weapon

It would make a solid base, but I tend to want my bases to be not too big. A preference for sure, but it takes longer to do perimeter checks on bigger bases. However, all those delicious books and metal bits are fantastic.

Wow, that was amazing fast collection of stuffs and grabbed police station at the first place! I barely can just find a chainsaw, hammer and even craft stone axe for the first 1 week. Great video good work!!

@@WavesyGetsGood Big helpful, the games a blast, I just survived my first week. I got tons of guns and ammo, well about 300 shotgun rounds and sorted others. Lots of food, working on fortifying my base and building storage so all my shits not on the floor. Thanks for the video.

7:45 glad i checked out this vid. i learned you can break those type of doors with a baseball bat???? i knew sledgehammers and axe can maybe a crowbar but ive never seen or tried. and i also don't know how long it will take and how much weapon durability it cost

Sometimes, population density is more critical than population in total. That's why I think West Point is worse than Louisville in most places.

I think its best to play in sandbox mod and under vehicles option enable' easy use' so car key will always spawn inside car,so you can take any profession or if you want some realism and some locked car just set car locked frequency to extremely rare ,in this way there may be atleast few cars whixh are unlocked with keys inside ,in most cases fule must be low or empty in those car so you should sipon fuel from other cars,however locked cars can be hotwired only when you get level 2 mechanics and level1 electronics

Best spot to look for one in riverside is the hardware store for sure. If you can travel a little out of town for it there is a warehouse towards the top of riverside. Use the project zomboid map online to find this stuff.

VHs give seperate xp from TV episodes tho, you can get all the xp from TV and get XP from VHS as well

So I just started playing and I’ve been trying on Riverside a lot and can’t seem to find guns or a vehicle. I just end up holding up in a house then going on runs and eventually getting killed by like 4 zombies because I panic. Having a lot of fun with the game though

The best advice I can give is to use shift to enter the combat stance, and space to push zombies. If you stand on a zombie, they can't stand back up, and if a zombie is standing on another zombie, same deal. You can then use space to stomp'em to death. Once you get comfortable being able to do this, just take things slowly. If you only search one house or two houses in a day, that's fine, what's the rush? Just remember to relax, take it slow, find a weapon when you can. And be careful using guns, you'll call every zombie in a country mile to come over for a visit.

Any time! Zomboid is a game where it feels like there's a lot of pressure to get things done quickly. But slow and steady is key. Drive slowly, park away from huge hordes, before long you'll be the next Dale Earnhardt Jr. 😉
