While actually throwing the individual over your shoulder, kick your non-support leg back and use it as a catapult type motion to launch the person for extra force. Caution when practicing this maneuver because you could seriously hurt someone if not done on a training matt.
@kip72324 жыл бұрын
This was actually really helpful/useful to me. I just started going to public middle School for the first time (I've been doing online schooling since 4th grade, and am now in 8th) and this 9th grade boy kept making very inappropriate and sexual comments towards me. A week or so passed...and this asshole has the nerve to SLAP *MY* ASS! So obviously I tell the principal...the boy got a week detention...but 3 days after the first incident...he decided to legit grab ahold of me (like a hug, but his hands were on my ass)...and I immediately started thinking of this and that this is definitely a situation where I needed to use force to make him get off of me...so I put my arm around his waist, stepped my leg behind his opposite leg, and pulled my leg back towards me while I pushed his chest...and it worked. Edit: He ended up getting suspended, and I got 5 days in ISS for using force on another student.

For self defense you can modify o-Soto-gari by taking your hand off of the lapel grip and jamming your palm into your attacker’s chin like in a palm strike. Push the attacker’s head backwards as you complete the 0-Soto-gari major outer reap with your reaping leg. Where the head goes, the body goes.

I learned how to do this as a red belt in taekwondo and then about 3-4 years after I quit training my friend with anger issues was mad that I had his phone (yes I’m a jerk but I was trying to talk to someone on FT all love😌) and I flipped him over my shoulder out of reflex and almost broke his head but luckily I slowed down before he hit the ground so he barely hit it...that same night another person there (who no one really wanted there butttt) tried to kick me in the balls (I was the only person he hadn’t “nut tapped” which is sus that he would even do it but whatever) and I grabbed his foot and didn’t knock him over like I usually do but I just kinda pushed him away...long story short he didn’t try to nut tap me any more🤷🏻♂️ yeah I may need some new friends💀💀

It's always easier to preform these techniques when the other guys is not a person trying to fight you.
@afoninja12110 жыл бұрын
yes, that's why you practice proper form mixed with contact sparring in order to be able to reliably pull off a move like that. You have to remember any type of move, regardless of how simple or complex has a time and a place to be done. For instance, if a dude is within elbow distance to me, I'm not gonna try and do a spinning back kick, nor would I try to throw a haymaker at him when he's too far away.
