How to Throw - The Swiss Arrow

That method is partially wrong, the highest speed/longest throw/accuracy is achievable with index finger throwing, when the cord is as near as possible to the finger's tip, when heavier darts/javelins are used, then two or three finger are needed of course, but the cord must be ALWAYS near the tips. BTW Strabo (4.4.3) mentions an interesting weapon the Celts had: "The equipment [of the Gauls] is in keeping with the size of their bodies; they have a long sword hanging at their right side, a long shield, and lances in proportion, together with a madaris somewhat resembling a javelin; some of them also use bows and slings; they have also a piece of wood resembling a pilum, which they hurl not out of a thong, but from their hand, and to a farther distance than an arrow. They principally make use of it in shooting birds."

Badasst, usually when I see a Swiss Arrow video it looks like a toy. I'm wondering if a little practice and some sidearm throwing for a flatter trajectory could make this thing accurate enough to be lethal between 20 and 50 ft

with a heavier dart you could be lethal at 40 or 50 meters

This is pretty cool! You should add an LED to the arrow and throw it at night... I couldn't really see the arrow after if leaves the hand.

If you had fun with it you should try an Atlatl or called Spearthrower. It is a great Weapon.

100 mtrs sounds about right as I remember, this guys length of arrow, & throwing technique is all wrong.
