When I started carping which was a VERY long time ago we never had videos showing us how to tie rigs etc this video must help beginners .well done korda....carpology do a similar thing

use a double overhand knot a normal wont hold under pressure

I've never had a problem with simple overhand knot in about 13 years of fishing. But if you feel more confident with the double go for it 👍

@@kirt121 It depends what your catching, But I can break a normal overhand knot quite easily compared to a double. Its only one turn so I see no advantage in not having the extra strength.

@@kirt121 well i used a simple overhand knot twice. Both times it didnt hold under pressure when holding carp away from weed. Before that and ever since i use a double overhand knot

@@trio803 my comment is just my experience over the years I've never had any issues with the overhand in many different situations with carp from 5 to 35lb. Maybe hooklink material etc plays a part. But if you feel more confident doing a double then go for it 👍
