Great video as usual. Please keep them coming. Quick question. When fish are hook shy and you want to use small hook, say 18 but need strong line say 8lb. You can not get the line through the eye twice. I have a knot you can use in this situation. But, how would you attach the hook in this situation.
@WinningWays3 жыл бұрын
With the right hooks you should still be able to do it, something like the Preston KKM or simalar which are designed for hair rigging with the larger eye you should be able to do it.

Perfect hooks with bands. Been doin mine like this for yrs but not as much success as Jamie with catching lol
@Andyfishing232 жыл бұрын
I’ve been trying to tie these hook lengths and get the jist of it but I have a problem with the presentation. The hook bends off the main line and doesn’t fall straight although I think you can get hooks with the eyes slightly bent over, does this presentation make a difference in hooking fish? I hope you get what I mean and be glad to hear of your explanation. Thankyou.

@heraer12172 жыл бұрын
U are using this rig for method fishing as well yes ? I also like to tie my own rigs,but sometimes i get confused by distance of bait from hook on hair...Thinking if my bait is to close to hook fish don't hook it self properly can u clear this one for me please ? :))

you show all your demos with eyed hooks, i use spades as it think they give a slimmer presentation, can this be adapted for spade hooks ?
@WinningWays3 жыл бұрын
There are ways to tie hair rigs on spade end hooks using certain hook tiers etc, but it's all quite faffy and doesn't really offer any real benefits when carp fishing.

went fishing with some shop bought hair rigs. couldn't understand why i was missing bites. when i looked at the hair rig, it was miles long. i thing the fish were hitting the bait but the hook was too far away to go in their mouths. chopped it off and caught!

Hi guys since I've went to hair rigs I'm losing 50percent of my fish even fishing on the bottom. Carp are from 2lb upto 15 with lots of 6s 7s. I get loads of fish in my swim every match and then it's just chaos. I've tried alsorts of baits with same result. Any advice cheers would be great from a very frustrated angler.
@WinningWays3 жыл бұрын
Could be one of many thing. Might be foul hooking them and striking at liners. You say it’s chaos with loads of fish, try feeding less and controlling what’s in your peg more. Impossible to say without being there.
