The thing is I had my braids done and I told the person at the salon not to use any extensions and she still used extensions. So the problem I have now is that when I use the durag I have extensions that are sticking out and I’m not sure how to cover those up when I’m sleeping. I’m guessing I have to use the Cape and find a way to tuck them in?

Hey Kozact thanks for teaching these guys how to properly tie the durag. Now I do leave the flap down because I have hang time on my braids and want to make sure they covered as well . Unless u have a better way to protect my hang time braids so I don’t have to leave the flap down

When I wake up after moisturizing my afro, applying oil and wearing my durag it is dry and matted down. Should I pick it out and apply more moisturizer or just leave it as is and apply the moisturizer? Also is there a way to prevent it from drying out so fast or is that just how my hair is?

If you have an Afro I’d recommend switching out your durag for a Bonnet, and if your hair is dry in the morning I’d recommend applying conditioner and oil as needed, you can pick or even finger Detangle your hair if it is matted down, A little water , conditioner , and then oil

​@BeyondPhysics-oi3ko nvm, I finally was able to get it. It actually wasn't really me, it was the first durag I had bought. The laces were too short and cheap asf from dollar general. I went to Walmart and bought a better quality one where the laces are more longer. I also bought a decent durag on Amazon with a strap where I don't have to sit there trying to tie it. Awesome for sleeping since I got my hair braided.

Maybe an odd question but I don’t know. I’m from uk and play ball, I have long hair and it’s almost always in braids as I play 3 - 5 times a week. I have started wearing a durag as I was getting pissed at how trashy they looked after a couple days (obviously my hair type isn’t the best for braids) now here’s the question….
