How to Tie a Mecate Rein to a Rope Halter

This is great! I always used to have my lead rope come untied when trying to use it as reins - great video on tying, even if you don't use a mecate! Just shortened my access reins, and added a regular lead rope for my "mecate" lead line. Thanks for saving me $80!

Austin Hickey you ease them into it, at first they wouldn’t know what you’re asking for but they will soon. you can start by using a hackamore/bitless bridle under a bridle :)

I have been told to undo the mecate from the rope halter or bosal when finished with the ride. Store them separate.

There is a much easier way of creating reins from a lead rope for the attachment to the rope halter.
