😊This is so cool. My name is Nicky and I had to wear a tie as part of my school uniform every day. I did not know that the way I tied Otis my tie was called a Nicky knot. I left school 30 years ago. Thank you so much for the video ❤

My favourite knot. The smallest of the symmetrical ones, so apt for formal and informal occasions.

Wow!!! What a great learning video!!! Took me around 4 times to watch to grasp how to do it. The only part I did not agree with was the initial starting length of the skinny side of the tie. Might be because of my torso length. So I started the skinny end of the tie around my 3rd button down from my neck.

Is it just the last stage where you take the wide end to THE OTHER SIDE, which is different from the Pratt knot?? I'm confused.
@larsreed71168 жыл бұрын
Yes. The Pratt knot goes around the left, in front, around the right and through the front. The Nicky goes up on the left, down on the right, in front, around the left again, and through the front.

@southpaw6028 жыл бұрын
same thing..
@justinlynch66918 жыл бұрын
it's not as wide because after the first time he goes through he takes it to the other side. the Pratt stays on the same side.

Hi. Can someone/anyone tell me the difference between the Nicky knot and Pratt knot? Also, how is the half-Windsor different in shape and size compared to the Nicky and Pratt knot? Anxiously awaiting a response....
@bunpeishiratori58499 ай бұрын
I think a Pratt is more likely to be symmetrical than a Nicky, despite the claims that a Nicky yields a symmetric result. When I’ve done it, it was always “off” by just a tiny bit. The half Windsor gives a thicker knot than the Pratt. They are both symmetrical and nice. The Pratt doesn’t come apart easily when you’re done. You have to unknot it.

.... does not look like the best choice for a professional image.... no "power" in the knot... I still prefer a double Windsor, it's has more power😆♈
