I've known this knot since I was 16, learned from an old book on tying scarves my mother had. The only thing I always screw up is the starting length. I'll try the second button from your belt suggestion next time (that's a big pet peeve of mine, men who have tied them too short or too long). Otherwise, this is a great explanation of how to tie a windsor knot. I didn't even know there were other ways, this is all I ever knew.
@chantastic919911 жыл бұрын
This is the method I prefer. You guys should check out the hanover knot. Makes an even larger knot with a better looking triangle shape. You'll need a slightly longer tie for this one though.

@allenhonda0213 жыл бұрын
Although the knot is well made and well demonstrated, I have to point out that the Windsor knot Mr. Ferriss shows here is the most formal kind of knot and is best worn with a spread or cutaway collar shirt. An informal button-down collar shirt, as Mr. Ferriss wears in this clip, calls for a more casual knot such as the four-in-hand. It's a finer point of menswear, but one that separates the men from the boys. Having said that, Mr. Ferriss does a good job with his demonstration.
