I'm really enjoying these videos and every week after I new video I take time to practice the knots from the prior video. I'm even starting to absentmindedly tie them while I watch other videos.

Thank you for the new line.

Well done. Why is it important to have the tails finish on the same side of the bend?

It would be beneficial, along with the knot, to show applications to real life situations in camping, hauling, securing, etc. thanks for a great video.

The sheet bend is essentially the same knot as the bowline - just tied differently and with the dead end terminating at a different part of the knot. In messing around after watching this I've discovered that you can tie the bowline like a sheet bend, but it doesn't look as good under pressure - and you can tie two ropes with the bowline and it seems to have the same outcome. The slipped sheet bend setup works on the bowline, but the double sheet bend is much harder to crack.. eventually got it right by double curling the first bend, but the outcome seems the same with a stronger bowline overall.

Nice; I have never seen that one.

If you've seen the bowline then you've seen the sheet bend it's the same knot just tied as a bend or a loop
