Yes I have two versions of a double eldredge knot and I’ve seen someone else double trinity knot.

Hi Patrick. Thanks for this knot. As you probably know, what thing that makes this knot tricky is the fact that we have to do a lot of twisting. We twist, and then when we try to tighten, the twist shows up from where was originally hidden. Then we have to push the twist back, try tightening again, and repeat. I was wondering if there might not be a way to make this knot work where both ties are not doing the same thing at the same time, similar to the double eldredge knot where you do a move with one tie while keeping the other one unmoved. That might help to avoid having to constantly twist. I might mess around with it, but was wondering your thoughts.

Oh and now that I think about it, I suppose you could also do this tie with a back/front contrasting tie. I think Express for men has some of those.

BRILLIANT! I have a new favorite Party knot. I cannot help but think that two ties of same size, brand, etc could be carefully secured back to back (seam to seam) to make this knot a little easier to tie... The look is stunning and worth the effort... Cannot wait till Mardi Gras next year!

Yes. I have a Harlequin knot with a single tie as well, but you would have to adjust the twist as you tie it to come up with the same pattern. The difficulty will be in finding one made without a seam on the back side.
