great tie lindsay.can i ask you a question? is sheeps wool that is caught on barbed wire any good to be used for dubbing ,i have taken some home should i wash it or keep it natural with all the natural oils in it?

I have not done this myself. A dearly departed friend once collected some black wool on barbed wire from the Isle of Mull. The fly became the MBK the Mull Black Killer. It’s accounted for more trout and Grayling than any other fly I own. If you are going to keep it natural stick it in the freezer for 24hrs just to kill any parasites.
