I have learned a couple ways to tie a shemagh, and they are all great and useful. With the cooler weather, I have found that a face wrap feels warmer than a ski mask. However, the ski mask was worn when it was a lot colder while I got the shemaghs toward the end of winter. Definitely going to retain the knowledge for when summer comes though.

@@mr.imperial8721 probably cultural choices. But who knows maybe you can find. In Turkey there are tons of scarfs like these but we call them şal(shal) and generally women use them to cover their hair and neck when they go outside.
