Thats a bad ass fly. I will be tying up a few to try here in Texas. Going to try on Redfish & Trout and probably even bass, should be a great all around fly. Tightlines

Oh yeah Chris, this thing would be perfect for Texas reds! Its a really good all around top water fly, wait till you see/hear the gurgle on it! Best of luck, Mike P!

Hey there, nice pattern! Is there a benefit to whip finishing and tying back in for each foam attachment rather than never tying off and working from the back of the hook to the hook eye?

So I know exactly what you mean, I think it adds a small bit more durability of the foam not rolling. You can definitely not cut off and retie in if you put enough pressure or even a drop of glue! Thanks for the great question/comment. 👍

What bobbin are you using

I get why you split the lower foam on the head. Why split the lower foam on the rear of the fly?

Hey Barney, Thanks for the comment. In all honesty it's more for just aesthetics/symmetry. It might allow for the craft fur to move a little more freely and keep it in a more straight back fashion.

Ole Florida Fly Shop have you tried in any other colors?

@@joshhartley3287 I tie a all chartreuse blue claw with black/Green hackle and it works great. Having a "natural" and "bright" patterns gives you the opportunity if you get rejected to change.
