That looks like an incredible pattern. I really need to start tying.

Well it's been 9 months and I did start tying. I started simple with midges and nymphs and worked my way through parachute posts more complex dry flies. I've now been tying the front end loader for a couple months and can successfully tie it most times with some better and some worse. I really like this pattern and it now shares time on my line with my favorite pattern of all time, the royal pmx.

Really like the cow elk that I got from tactical fly fisher and took a while for me to get the hackle stacker technique..Excellant in the way you show this rather different way to wrap the hackle but after a few tyes got it down! Thanks, gonna be a great dry fly to add to the box!

My favorite dry fly. I'm excited to try it with the rubber leg material instead of tippet like the original video showed. Ice Dub purple, green, and white make awesome variations of this pattern too.

I've decided to use this fly for my go-to dry dropper rig and have just tied up half a dozen size 12 Knapek BL Scuds in preparation for opening day 1st October. I will also do a few size 14's in case the fish are a bit shy. Had a bit of trouble coordinating the front hackle but perseverance paid off. Thanks for your beautiful tie which I keep referring back to. Much appreciated down-under in NZ.

By far the most buoyant caddis in my box.. tough tie but they go and go if you don’t lose em.

I really struggle to tie this pattern, it's all straightforward until we get to the hackle stacker part. I substituted pink CDC for the post material, because that is what I had.

nice fly but I don't like using stretch floss for hackle stacker. I prefer either mono or 6.0 thread in tan. Thanks for the pattern though.I'll give it a try un the spring with a dropper.

Around where I live and fish, many Goddard Caddis flies will get a very pale yellow egg sac so, not all egg sacs are green on Caddis flies. Just food for thought as to how much color variation a person can tie into their fly patterns.

I am a big fan of Devin’s flies and videos but this one is unnecessarily complicated and a pain to tie. Check the “Renaflue” for a similar fly that works in Norwegian rivers.
