what filler wire was use? New to stainless and about ready to order a replacement for my Tig 200 v1 that I have. thanks
@eastwoodco Жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos! For stainless you will use 308L, the size will depend on the thickness of the material you're welding. For this video we used 1/16" thick filler wire. Available Here: www.eastwood.com/tig-wire-stainless-1-16-36in-1lb-tube.html

this guy is pretty good. I'm most impressed by how you can change the filler wire size and weld a gap. while maintaining a uniform bead shape and size. That is magic

Thank you to the eastwood channel for having this guy on and showing us how to do our own exgaust. I have a little welding experience so i wanted to do my own exhaust on my new project car. This video showed me everything i need, and ill be referencing this when i start on the exhaust

What are your thoughts on Solar Flux?

Only good in boilers and refineries where you can’t get a good purge or it’s cost is outweighs the profit.

But in those situations mud wire is a more reliable solution in personal experience

My TIG machine is a simple 'set amps and go' 2T machine. I don't have a pedal so I can't dynamically control the weld, right? Or have I overlooked something the entire time of owning the machine? lol
@eastwoodco Жыл бұрын
Is it one of our machines? Generally the "scratch-start" TIG machines are set and move forward.

Start by wearing your ppe, fr jacket/long sleeves 🤦♂️ Y’all missed to inform those who don’t know about what tungsten to use for stainless… Instructor was to fast in speaking to the audience. What happened to back purging? Plenty of gas coverage for s.s. Just because it’s good on the outside doesn’t mean it is in the inside…
@eastwoodco Жыл бұрын
Ryan you might have skipped through the video a bit. Please check out: 2:35 - 3/32" Multi-mix Tungsten 5:28 - "I want to disclose we are not back purging"
