I think the yamaha instructions says that the 1,5 to 2 inch play needs to be checked while the bike is on the side stand.

+ReZiT indeed, however the riders weight may heavily vary impacting the true figure so i find best to check with rider on bike and look for an inch to an inch and a half play, after all wr125x chain and sprocket kits are only £45 :)

hi i fitted a new chain and sprockets to my WR125x and the chain length was 134 link and standard sprocket sizes so 14 front 53 rear. but to get the chain to tighten within spec around 1-2 inches the chain adjusters have to backed near enough right out so i only have two lines left on the swing arms? can anyone help as to why this is. thanks
