Thank you for this video. I stripped my screw by re-tightening a couple times, but you guys are sending me a replacement. Thank you

Wouldn't red loctite make it hard to disassemble in the future? Wouldn't blue loctite be better? Sorry if these are dumb questions I don't really know much about this type of thing.

At the end of the day it's personal preference. We like the red more since we know these knives are going to get flipped tens of thousands of times. The vibrations from the impacts of opening and closing the knife will eventually loosen the pivot screw. There is no way to get around it except with a threadlocker. Since a loose pivot creates the most potential for something to go wrong on a knife we, we want to make sure that the pivot is solidly in place before the knife gets shipped out to a customer.

A little heat will generally break the red Loctite and allow disassembly. If both scales are removed, hitting it with a pencil torch very quickly would probably be OK if you ever needed to disassemble it.

I imagine a quick touch to the screw with a soldering iron will be enough to loosen it up. I've used the red Loctite before and had to do that. Now I typically use the blue Loctite stick.

@@FerrumForge why didn't the knives have threaslocker on the threads before shipping. I love my knife but feel at the price it should have been completed before offering to the public.

Hey what size is the pivot screw? I sent you guys an email over a year ago with no response, I’m just trying to get this thing back in working condition, just haven’t had any luck finding a replacement for a lost pivot screw. Thanks
