The Cam on my Right side are the same way like your but the sprocket not show me the R it show me the L on the Right side exhaust

Amazing video what did you mean by used a zip tie with the mmr 2nd tensioner ? Would be helpful if you can give me a better explanation currently working on it

With the MMR secondary bracket it was easier to compress the tensioner and tighten a zip tie to keep it depressed. This allows to slip the sprocket and chain over the tensioner pad. After it's on there, just cut the zip tie out and remove it.

They are different, the timing procedure is not the same. Ill have a video out this winter for gen1 Mustang and F150 Coyote

Can you do this without removing the engine? I just need to replace one broken exhaust phaser

Absolutely, you don't have to remove the engine. This can be done while the engine is in the car.

@@Oxman_Garage thank you, the car has only 50k km, but sadly the passenger side phaser is broken, the center pin that moves the valve is stuck and the phaser won't move from the fully advanced position. Beside the phaser, since I have to disassemble lot of parts, would you suggest to replace all the timing components, chains guides etc or replace just the phaser? I'd love to change it without removing the timing cover but I assume it's impossible. Thank you so much

What do I do? I have done a couple of these but have completed them with out walking away for an extended period time. On this job, I started it and got pulled off for a few months and came back to it and forgot to rotate the motor the 2 rotations to 12 o’clock prior to installing the RH side. Got it together and drove it for a couple and realized what I did because of the codes I pulled. Now I have it down to the chains again and the RH pulled chains pulled. Not having ran into this before, what is my next step?

What codes did you have? I have a car with unknown service history with bank 1 camshaft and crankshaft corelation. Data loger shows 20 degrees on camshafts. Did someone forgot to rotate the crank while instaling second chain?

When installing the passenger side exhaust cam, it doesn’t feel like it’s in the “neutral position” it is kinda help up a little,, is this normal ? It spins back and fourth freely in a different position though.. is this normal? Should I have to force the cam down a little with the cam caps? Or is the cam in the incorrect t position?

Place the cams in a position where the lobes are flat on the followers. Tighten all the cams caps. Take a wrench and move the cams on the flats of the cam and put them in the natural position.

Depending on your set up? Honestly the stock cams are good for lots of power if you Supercharge or Turbo.

I would recommend having aftermarket camshafts set with. Degree wheel.

As long as the timing marks are all in the same position when you removed everything. If it were me, I would just start from the beginning to be on the safe side. Last thing you want is piston valve contact

You don’t have to put in too dead center like push rod ? Placement of pistons can be in any order ?

At the beginning of the video, you want to clock the crankshaft key at the 5 o'clock position. This place the pistons below the deck so there will be no piston to valve contact.

I noticed in video the driver side cams are installed wrong for video. Go by the cam neutral diagram provided. Diagram is different than video

3:27 and 3:13 the position are different is what he is saying the exhaust side is right but the intake is off
