@@mariaclayton9892 you use wella t18 but with wella Demi peroxide not volume 10 20 30 . My natural hair is like a medium ash brown and I do extra blonde highlights I tone with a T 18 or parana light ash or ash 4to 5 minutes Only otherwise I will have dark gray hair until a 3 washes it’s normal extra light blonde or almost And without damaging my natural hair or changing the color for that matter

You don’t need to know if you’re in the same level of color if the hair is like super wide by yellow then yes you can it will just tone If it’s still a little orangey yellow it may be ash pravana It will look like a medium natural blonde to a dark natural blonde depending on the level

I really got to understand the chart with makeup. I have had darker color under my eyes. I've tried different products, sleeping longer, and all the tips available on the internet and only Retinol or adapalene from La Roche Posay did help, however the longer the product is used the better the result as well. When I feel I have some dark under my eyes I go immediately for the orange color corrected and either apply prior to concealer or with it depended on how much I feel must be covered. I am a dark blonde with red highlights. For several years I would achieve platinum with L'Oreal Preference Blondissimes hair color in their lightest shade to achieve that color. The only issue was the light reddish tone that would arrive 3-4 weeks when my roots would begin to grow in. I now use Extra Light Natural blonde and get better results. I'm happy I saw this video so when I do begin to see light brassiness 4-5 weeks in I can choose my toner with the color wheel confidentiality.I have been told several untrue facts by individuals who work in beauty stores in the past so thankful for explaining several things I had been misinformed about and allowing me to choose my products without having to question often individuals who lack the knowledge I truly require. 😊😊😊😊

I just wanted to let you know, I am 62 & since I was 18 always went & spent at least $120-$150 every 8wks. In my later 50’s I started watching 100 videos of best & easiest highlights diy. I definitely just wanted you to know u r fabulous.You really go into details about it.No if I could still go trust me I would. If you want your hair to look like natural after coloring it’s hard.You really have to know what you can mix or not also bleeding HL color not scalp. I started watching your videos last year and honestly I have been loving them so much! I have always had a passion for make up, doing hair, eyebrows and nails. I have always done nails, eyebrows, hair, makeup on myself and I have done makeup and eyebrows on friends and they always end up loving them (I don’t touch their hair unless it’s something simple as curling it or braids because I am not a professional and don’t want to ruin, fry and do horrible damage to someone else’s hair) my boyfriend has always told me you are so good at this why don’t you just go to cosmetology school? You would probably do so great! Thank you. I'm 61 years old and don't feel pretty anymore. And the pandemic makes it worse for older ppl who still wanna b active n have fun. So, I decided to DIY hair color change up. I have very dark brown hair down to my waist and extremity thick. I wanna go platinum with some metallic teal underneath. I bleached my hair, then it was a carrot top. I bleached again no difference. So im giving my hair a break for a week. Then I'l go get that toner before I use the color. Thank you for posting.

Wella, has a chart telling u the under tone of the toner and also gives u a chart on the level. It’s online and u have to look it up, I did and it worked.

Patti Burton Salmonsen she DID go to a professional, and they didn’t even fix her hair.. very “professional”. It doesn’t take cosmetology school to know the color wheel .. she was 14. She didn’t dye her hair brown. The stylist did. Not her fault. When I tone my hair the toner looks dark as hell. Washes out to platinum blonde. She could’ve thought it was toner on. S

Patti Burton Salmonsen you’re presumptuous, rude and offensive. As Alexis said, I was 14. How obnoxious are you that you would address a 14 year old child the way you just spoke to me. You would not get my custom. You are also incorrect and accusatory that I did not read the instructions, which I did. Because if you were a capable, qualified hair dresser you would know that a pale yellow colour after being bleached is completely normal and requires toner. Like Alexis said, all my hair needed was toner. That was the point of my comment - the fact that it could of so easily been taken blonde but instead was made a greenish-brown. You’re calling her a key board warrior? I’m sorry you replied to my comment unprovoked BULLYING a 14 year olds mistake. You are a joke, and your poor attitude only reflects how poor of a hair dresser you must be, Patti.

Thank you for that excellent presentation on what a toner is and what's the purpose of it. I've been coloring my hair for many years but none of my hairdressers ever gave me such an easy to understand explanation on toners as you did in this video!
