Thanks bro! Super simple explanation. I just lowered my Yukon XL with a Bell tech 2/3 kit w/shocks. The front still sat a little bit higher than expected once I lowered the truck off of the lift. Six turns got 'er done! Now I'm off to the alignment shop tomorrow to make sure she's rolling true and straight. Merry Christmas, homie. Kudos...

Can you tell a ride difference by going loser on the keys? (Less speed bump jab) ? I have a 3 inch lift on my 20 2500- it’s one inch lower in the rear - debating on putting a 2.5inch block in the rear instead of 1.5 to make up the difference or just loosen the key to lower the front? Thanks! Love the truck

YOU SAVED ME! I just bought a new GMC and noticed it leaning to the left. Wheel well fender measured one full inch lower on both front and and back left side! Found the left side torsion bar adjuster bolt about 5 turns too far out. (The left bolt was sticking out visibly uneven with the right.) Jacked up the front, ran it in 5 turns. Presto, even! Thank you so much. But what's up with GMC!?!? Selling it like that ?

Would you know about how far each turn raises the front end? I have a stock truck with stock keys. I tow often so I do need to keep some sort of a rake. I’m thinking 3 turns for my truck… any suggestion or advise is appreciated.

Just add a 2 inch block in rear it'll keep the ride better vs cranking your torsion bars
@lsgt51323 жыл бұрын
Ok question boss. I bought a 2008 reg cab 4x4 and it has a huge lift but idk how much. It's a ruff country X. I looked on there site but anyway it's to high for me and has 35in tires that rub a bit when you turn all the way. I think they rub though bc they have spacers on wheels and makes wheels stick out fender I'd say 2 inches. So the truck is to high and it does that dropping gears bc of the tires. I would like to do this and cut or put new blocks in the back and be able to run a 33inch tire and not have a huge gap. The front axles sit perfect level now so would dropping it like this cause a problem?

So have to change the torsion bar/cross member bushings on both sides. I bought new block and bolts for keys. When I install back, where do I start the bolt turn count? How many should I turn? 3 once I make contact with key? I am not running anything aftermarket. Normal 245 17 wheels. 3 or 4 from barely touching key? From distance of bump stop? Not resting on bump stop? I have unloading tool. And school bus jack stands.

clearing on flat ground at stand still is misleading isn't it......what about driving and hitting bumps with wheel turned, when suspension compresses the tires may still rub so wouldn't you want to make sure you have clearance for when suspension is compressed as well?

All good here man. And if you over adjust and start rubbing it only takes about 15 min to hit the torsion keys again. Not a big deal. Not sure if youre playing troll. But I have been running this height with little to no rubbing for over a year now and all good : )
