Your supposed to jack the front end up before you crank the keys. By doing it on the ground you just twist the torsion bars. So it wont show as much lift until you go drive it around and let the torsion bars settle

The PB Blaster is flammable. This boy is an idiot. Beginning with "pushes more volts through the cables or something" to crushing the crossmember while using his unloading tool as a c-clamp. Nothing this young man does suggests any critical thinking skills.

They are not near as loud as the Nitto mud graps i had on a truck. Just stay on top of tire rotations😅, i was young and didn't know you were supposed to rotate MTs. Truck started shaking like crazy then someone told me to get a rotation, i did....rode like new.

That bracket on the driver’s side you rearranged a bit is a bracket for a fuel heater for diesels. With a long pry bar on the end of the torsion bar zip tied to the the left of that bracket so it won’t move, you can smack the the end of the pry with a hammer and it should come out fairly easy. We deal with terrible rot and rust here in Buffalo so I feel you on that 😂

i bought a 96 burb for $800, it had a bad engine but also a 6 inch rough country lift, 16 inch wheels that look like the fuel black colored chinese manufactured but also had brand new 35 inch IRON MAN all country MT tires (only 4 wheels and tires) my 2002 yukon xl came used with torsion key lift, rear airbags inside the factory springs and 33 inch mastercraft tires and 3 inch wheel spacers. they were super loud and wore super fast. it has LOTS of RUST so i bought new sheet metal off ebay but winter hit so i cut the front bumper a little and just a little sheet metal relocated the parking brake cable with a piece of coat hanger , removed the plastic fender well covers, painted the grill and both bumpers flat black to match the bed liner paint they used to hide the rust and installed those 35 inch iron man tires with black wheels, and besides the rusted out pieces the thing looks mean as hell!!! right now the drivers tire rubs the windshield washer bottle just a little when turning hard, so when i locate my heat gun, im going to heat it and squish it in so it does not rub any more. i live in a small town in South Dakota and my wife steffy works at the hospital so Blizzards, floods and muddy dirt roads can NOT prevent my wife from being to work on time to re-leave the previous shift that just worked 12 hours, and we live 18 miles from her work. my neighbor runs the exact same tire on his lifted 3/4 ton dodge crew cab for years now and loves them! in january of 2019 we had a BLIZZARD and i went into a comma with a Staph A infection. a Sheriff Deputy threw me over his shoulder (i weighed 180 pounds) and carried me to my neighbors waiting truck and they carried me to the waiting ambulance about 1 mile away. yes, i live off grid in a camper but can walk 500 feet to my neighbors house! so i bought 4 new 35 inch iron man tires with custom 16 inch wheels for just $800 and got a 6 inch rough country lift, upgraded brakes, new 456 gears front and back, top of the line tow mirrors, custom grill, new bumpers front and back, brand new in the box bolt on fender flares, projector head lights , led tail lights etc... all for FREE for my 93 burb ,just bought this stuff from off craigs list from a kid that was in the hospital and couldnt afford to have the shop fix his engine. just asked him what his bottom dollar was and didnt haggle any more as it was a great deal for me! i also bought a 2000 burb for $200 from a friend for $200 for the wheels in 2018. i scrapped the shit out of it and only sold the body for tin as i cut it off behind the windshield , no wiring, no steel bolts or hinge parts etc... just tin only. cut the frame etc.. and sold as tin. i have the complete drive train sitting on pallets, the doors (6) the luggage rack , LM7 engine, 4l60, front fenders and hood ,trans , transfer case, radiator etc... for spare parts for my yukon xl and my 2002 burb. the LM7 runs and does NOT have the cast tech heads, so its going into the 93. going to sell some parts one of these days and buy a 4L80 to put behind the Lm7, i already have a 14 bolt rear end in the 93 out of a 92 4x4 truck i bought for $150 that had a bad engine! i think ill put 37 inch military humvee wheels and tires on the 93 too with the run flat inserts! got a square body crew dually on a school bus frame, military 5 ton axles front a'nd back and lock outs on font axles. engine is a DT360A with 5 speed trans and divorced transfer case. my 2 2002's are flex fuel. im a retired mechanic (cant work a job because of surgeries from the staph) and i love to play around and build for SHTF!!!

2 sets of cables just allows more amps. If you were to try to crank like that with one set you would likely burn the cables out after 10-15 seconds, where 2 sets let the juice flow without the restriction.

My bucket truck is a 6.0L. Put 120,000 miles on her. We’ve definitely shared our fair amount of break downs and won’t starts. Most of the time the engine light doesn’t come on, but I plug the tuner in and it’s usually got a code or two. May be worth seeing if their are some “invisible codes” I used to have to pop the hood and hit the fuel pressure regulator (kinda looks like a bulky O2 sensor back behind the turbo) just about every time to get it to start. I believe the tuner always said fuel pressure regulator open loop. Just some food for thought!

Adding a second set of cables is allowing more amperage to flow, not voltage. 99% of jumper cables are way undersized as far as wire gauge goes. And it being a diesel, it requires more amperage to crank.I bought a $100 pair of cables about a decade ago and they're huge compared to any others but, they were well worth the money

Lol. It's not more volts going to your battery, it's allowing a better amp draw. Most store bought jumper cables have thick insolation and small conductors. If you don't want to spend big money on cables you can make a really good set using single 0 wire for about the same price as the cheap ones.love that purple, I just did my suspension components that color on my JL.

easy way to unstick torsion keys. is. drill up through them being careful not to get as high as torsion bar but close start with 1/4" bit and go up as big as possible then heat it creates a weak point that stretches when heated up

Check the date on that motorcraft battery to see if it is within 84 months because if it is and it’s bad, you could get a free one at your local Ford dealer. Keep up the great content! And keep up the welcome BACKER to the channel.👍

You should jack the truck when adjusting keys. Also you need to add 0-2.5 inch shock. I put in rough county keys and hated the Feel.

Im sure you know already Ryan but that 6.0 has major motor/electrical issues. Those batteries shouldn't just die over night. It should crank right up and not put the starter under so much stress. Hopefully you guys find the power draw/issue.

the two sets of jumper cables lowers the resistance through them which increases amperage, not voltage. voltage will stay the same.

I put 305/65r18s on 18x10s with a -13 offset with 2” leveling coil overs on a 14 silverado. Did a fair amount of metal trimming but I think I’d still like a hair more stance, turned out relatively modest. I know these are really different trucks but I’d like to encourage you bite the bullet and trim that pretty purple hard work there for a wider stance. I think you’ll like it better once you finish. The trucks lookin sweeet

Check your ball joint angles. Mine are horrible, and that's with stock keys. 3" lift spindles are supposed to be way nicer. I'll be switching to those when I redo my whole front end. (Whole front end is stock and needed replacing anyways, which is why I cranked the keys lol)

Try plugging the powerstroke in for a few hours. See if it starts up. You might have a glow plug issue. Harness, relay, or glow plugs them selves. But that will tell you and possibly check something off the list and irs simple.
