Hi Michael, If you want to expand your creative process consider one or two non-influenced layers with your own accent colors, value adjustments or what about additional shapes?

I just want to do a line drawing of a photo, basically trace lines. How do you do that?

Thanks for your question! You can just have your reference image as a layer and then trace lines on another layer with lower opacity - this way you can see the lines to trace.

I think you meant to have the reference layer at a lower opacity so you can see the tracing pencil lines.@@EscapeMotions

@@peterplantec7911 No. Surely if the reference layer is below the drawing layer the reference layer should be full strength and the drawing layer with some transparency so you can see the reference?

I am a new user of Rebelle (using Rebelle 6). I'm trying to follow your tutorial here but when you start speed painting your brush seems to pick colors and mix them up (not sure I am describing this very well). You start painting at 11:39 into the video. I don't have any "Blend Brushes" so maybe I have to get some? I have the default brushes and I have no idea which one to use to get the effect you are getting. When I try this it just seems like any brush I choose just paints a clear coat with some texture over my photograph. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

This is terrific stuff, but you use way too many words. I actually fell asleep while trying to follow you. Perhaps you could re issue a similar episode with way fewer words and slower, less ambitious process. One image, step by step. I know you went step by step, but each step had very involved somewhat convoluted description. Also in Version 7 there may be some new tools...not sure yet. I'm sorry for being critical, it's just that this is a useful aspect of Rebelle that I would like to learn better.

Agreed - knowing how the software works and being able to share that knowledge are two different skillsets. Far too many Rebelle video presenters do this.
