Do you have to pay real live data on IBKR and TradingView to trade futures in TV?

The user name on your TV has to exactly match your IBKR user name. IBKR has diff user names for your live and paper accounts. TV only lets you change your name twice. So you set it up for paper, use your IBKR paper trade user name. If you go live, then you have to change your TV user name to match your IBKR Live user name. You can;t switch back and forth between paper/live since TV only gives you 2 opportuities to change it unless TV has changed this restriction of 2 changes recenttly

Yes you can sign out of the broker (very similar to how you signed in) and sign to a new one that is offered

What's the fill time like when you submit an order? I've connected my IB account to other platforms and the fill times are awful. Very laggy, even Market Orders get filled super slow and end up missing entries/exits.

It's definitely going to. You don't have the flexiblity of going straight through the broker. I wouldn't do it if all you're doing is scalping for like a few pennies on penny stocks. IBKR as an example allows you to route to different exchanges to get better fills too, and when you're shorting, I don't know how you'd ask IBKR to pay for locates if you're shorting an IPO or penny stock that isn't very popular let's say. It closes the IBKR trader workstation for me, so I got no control over anything. I haven't tried opening it up on mobile to see if i can use it without logging me out of the trading view connection either.

You can get the data from IBK but you don't see level 2 the same way as you see it on the IBK platform. Which is not as good.

I believe they have now moved it. Once connected to your broker there should now be a "trade" icon at the bottom of the screen which allows you to open up the trading widgets

What is the difference between stop and stop limit in buy orders?

Stop - a market order to get you out at any price no matter how fast or slow the execution of your broker is; risk slippage in volatile stocks and getting out at worse prices than you want Stop Limit - the stop portion of this order is just a trigger to tell your broker to put in your limit order once the trigger is hit. ex. You tell your broker, if the stock hits 1.54 (the Stop in Stop Limit), please put in a limit order for me at 1.52 for x amount of shares (this is the LIMIT part) Think of STOP LIMIT orders as TRIGGER LIMIT orders instead. It's just a confusing way they named it.
