I have been following you for years. When I was at my lowest and had nothing and things were collapsing, I had this urge to figure things out, to resolve and conceptualize about myself. I was obsessed with CPT. I kind of gave up after my first breakdown. Now, maybe I'm a bit more sure about my type, probably an INFJ

Thank you for this video. It's really important. I can definitely notice how the channel is indeed starting to take the Ti-Si direction. I have been getting very close to finding my type recently because of this. There were these impressions that I had of certain cognitive functions that made me believe for a very long time that I wasn't using them when I actually was. Now that I know that the cognitive functions are much more relatable and much less like other worldly alternate states of consciousness😅, I find it much easier to understand, recognize and apply. Lots of wisdom to be learned from as well

Today I spotted a INFJ in the wild. Was watching television and saw a person talking about spiritism and predictions about the political enviroment, her answers were made on the spot and were very eloquent, I could literally see her mind working mid question and formulating a phrase. But then I thought "Wait... she reminds me of Harry from CPT!". Throwing random dates and lacking any starting point in her speech, I even questioned my family for hearing that. They responded with: "Her words are so smooth and she never stutters, amazing! Her predictions always come true!" I even tried to imitate this behaviour to my relatives, poking fun at her ways. Just speaking with confidence and brainstorming vague predictions. Amazing video btw.

Genius. The Ti-Fe, Te-Fi comparison "How things are vs. how they need to be." Rather than offering precise logical answers to specific dilemmas, I tend to operate within a holistic framework. It's an abstract "how" that is also well-regulated- essentially a "simulation." As you mentioned, it requires courage and bravery to confront the "incoherent." Ironically, postponing this confrontation often stems from a lack of personal integrity that we face daily, driven by skepticism and sometimes fatalism. That's not counting my little bit of Ni development.

Man, I'm a sucker for romance, and hyper divergent Fe is definitely not the most ideal to enact on my love directly, but tell you what it's the most humbling experience to read or watch through. As your other video has previously mentioned, by using ISTPs as an example, their Fe oppositional function is the most sensitive parts of their cognition. Granted the IxTP is functionally an adult, they will happily soak in, and find comfort in such unfiltered emotional escapism. IxTPs are hands down the most underrated in MBTI when it comes to communicating love, and it's not a stretch to say that we are the easiest to let our guard down where human interactions are ever constant in fictional setting free of judgments. Now, I can't let alone imagine how the Fi oppositional types experience romance 😅 so the idea that to develop Te+ is with the reframing of Fi- channeling to me makes perfect intuitive sense... until Ti comes barging down and forces me to observe and reevaluate the world objectively. But my auth Ne is not complaining whatsoever!

Based on what you explained in this video, I would definitely be on the Fi-Te axis. I find that I constantly desire change in the external environment. I see the impact that industry has and has had on the environment, with the mass consumption of resources, in the name of greed for the almighty dollar and profit. This world has become so greedy and the need for greed is falsely justified with ideas like “supply and demand”. Who is demanding? Are consumers demanding or are corporations? Do people really need all these materials? Or are they told they do and are playing catchup in the rat race of life and not even understanding why? I’m a minimalist and would have no issue doing away with technology and living a simplistic life. Farming the land, reaping and sowing, and a natural way of living sounds peaceful and refreshing to me and I would have no qualms at all with going back to a more natural way of life with the trade of tangible resources being the primary way of setting a value system for our society. Through this, we would begin to replenish and restore this planet and come into a natural alignment with it, without planet Earth’s wrath spewing out natural disasters and wiping us off the face of this planet and restoring itself 🤣. We are a very destructive species and we need to heal what we have broken and restore what we have destroyed. So yeah, change is in order. But I think it would be wise to go in reverse. Digression is the new progression 😂

As an INTP I appreciate how you contextualised the conservative mindedness of Ti+. I will take that a step further, the cold rationalistic attitude that Ti convergence has is yet by far the only probable effective way for us to consolidate our values subconsciously, then to distill those and rebuild newer innovative musings that more often than not to narrate middleground. however these days i see Ti convergent types on the internet getting radicalised left and right, and in that rut they're not operating happily as human beings. If only they had the humility to go through the initial phase of conservative skepticism. The things people do to gain validations, notwithstanding to the supposedly most rational type in all of the 4 codec function is dehumanising.

I agree with your sentiments however I don't necessarily agree with INTPs being the most rationale type of the codec types. After all there is a difference between being logical and rational.

Whenever verbal information is technical, I open up a visual high resolution screensaver in my minds eye of a static point in the landscape. Each subject has a different and designated landscape so I'm guessing that this is an instinctive categorisation aid.

Interesting. Mine works more like the "record the previous moment" button on Xbox. When I encounter technical verbal information or information that i find intriguing as a possibility, I recognize, in the moment, the relevance to my undertanding. Later on, that relevance is the association that recalls the episodic memory. The resolution varies from just the main idea to recalling every single detail verbally, visually, and sequentially.

Te-Fi is actually the most 'childlike' axis in a way, when you think about it! The divergent Fi part of it. Which is kind of funny when you consider the stereotypes presenting them, oftentimes, in a very Fe-Ti like manner? 😁 This was a nice breakdown of what is the general vibe of the functions. Hopefully there'll be another video of the actual functions i.e TeNe etc...

Great video, as always ❤ A favor, can you help me understand this case - my friend who is behaviorly EXTREMELY Introverted and Intuitive. But his cognition is ESTJ. His convergent/divergent realms are in extreme. He has very extremely high convergent Te==Ti, Ne>=Ni, and divergent are Fe>Fi, Ni=(almost zero). He will trump the logic to defend his argument. High Ti-Ni convergent (even higher than most ISTP) but almost no Fi-Ni and lack of convergent Fi or Fe. His Ne-Si always makes him think of some negative consequences or scenarios that can happen after any action. Can you help me understand what kind of subtype he is and how an extroverted dominant type can be so introverted behaviorly and cognitively (Te=Ti, Ne>=Ni) kinda like sheldon Cooper who i also think is ESTJ. Detailed answers would be appreciated 🙏

@aknkna7246

I don't know if I can give you an mbti answer but I used to be very lazy as well but in the last couple of months I have been able to schedule my day and consistently work towards my goals and it has really improved my life. This is how I did it in 2 steps: 1. Using my social media half as much 2. Setting TINY goals. No longer that 10 minutes (ideally 5 minutes or less), so that I don't dread doing it tomorrow, which would learn me to inevitably give up. Social media is too powerful of a distraction. If you go to your settings app and put a limit on your social media apps so that they automatically turn off, you will have free time to work on your brief tasks. If you only work less than 10 minutes per day, it will be very easy for you achieve. You might think this is pointless but you are not doing this to achieve anything. You are doing this to build up a habit because willpower NEVER works. You need a habit and that comes with consistency. You not BELIEVE how much more confident you get after you do something for 3 weeks even if it takes less than 5 minutes to do. The consistency itself is a huge achievement. How many people do you know who decide to do something and follow through for a week let alone 3? After that confidence boost you will be past all your limiting beliefs about being lazy and you will be able to set new goals, larger and larger each time. Remember, you are in absolutely ZERO rush. 5 minutes isn't pointless. It is better than lazing around all day anyway. Just do something that takes less than 5 minutes (could be anything, maybe like making your bed) and forget about the future. The future doesn't exist. Do your habits daily and see where it takes you. This is what worked for me, so I hope it will help you
@brobdingnagian
@brobdingnagian 4 ай бұрын
Plus....your laziness isn't a function, any type can be lazy. Maybe there is something in your life that's making you that way?? No motivation, bad habits, poor character etc. When looking for your type don't go looking for something that justifies your flaws. Yes we all have blindspots but laziness is too general a concept. CPT is about growth, the best type is no type
@prorok21
@prorok21 4 ай бұрын
I hope you will find some value in my post. I think you are confused about what lazy is, because it's not how you described it. To be lazy is to do little or none and be HAPPY about it. Otherwise it's executive functioning not working properly and despite effort and negative emotions, procrastination grows. So you are not lazy, your struggles are real.
@aknkna7246
@aknkna7246 4 ай бұрын
@@prorok21 could be something physical/medical as well. If your energy is too low you will not be able to work even if you are the hardest working man. It could also have to do with mental health. 5 minutes a day is maby still achievable but if there is a mental/physical problem he should check it out. Like you said, maybe it's not his fault

Their Ne is also dormant and undifferentiated thus unable to relish in the glamour of innovation, humour, invention,creativity
