If we're talking about the "personality/values dilemma" scheme, such as observing the world and people, then oneself, and attempting to create/adopt/imitate a personality or behaviors that would be both very comfortable to "be" and practical in the real world, and such a mechanism would have been present really from a very early age until now ("oh, this guy is serious and mature, that has such and such advantages, it's worth adopting such a system of behaviors... but on the other hand, that other guy's tactic of being carefree and sociable also works, is it better to be like this or that, what would bring me more comfort in behaving and benefits in life? Is it better to be interested in people or ignore them? It is better to be cold or emotional? What would be more comfortable?"), then what pairings/functions/types does this resemble?

So, unravel and label this because I'm not sure? Haha!! What if the desire is for individual reformation because you know the outcome would be harmony? Not the kind of harmony required for conformity because that ends up in the equivalent of the pagan ritual of sacrifice. Ultimately, NOT a True picture because you're now missing some links. (I reference that because they used to sacrifice an individual for a good harvest for the group.) No, this (to me) is like having a hard puzzle to solve so you cheat and remove a couple of pegs to make it 'appear' that you achieved a harmonious end. This Is the conundrum, the puzzle, the consternation: because in order to bring anything into a unified circle you are faced with two dilemmas: One is the option to sacrifice some, which is antithetical to true harmony, or two, you must force coupling, which is antithetical to true harmony, and due to it's inauthenticity brings about a tension that creates a weak spot that, given time, WILL break at a future point. I see true harmony (the desire) only being reached through the individual transformation by sunlight and rain. Leaving a field of flowers harmoniously straining upward. A picture of true health and true harmony. Harmony depends on Health and Health depends on Harmony. Now, we just need to identify the proper source of sunshine and rain. Hmm, I know its around here somewhere? Haha

So I fell into the trap of mistyping myself as infj and have thought I was one for a years. But the thing about whether you know yourself or not began to make me wonder. I’ve always known myself and understood my emotions perfectly ever since I was a small child. Your 5 reason’s you’re not and the referencing of how the ENTP often mistypes as infj led me to the realisation that I am in fact an entp which I never would have thought! But I almost consider it my job in any social setting to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable and more importantly I am very good at doing that. I even go into KZbin comments sections and try to resolve people’s arguments. I think my traumatic childhood made me a quite dysfunctional person for a long time but as I become more of who I really am traits I had suppressed begin to emerge. I used to feel very isolated and left out by people but I think that was more a mental health thing. Also I need and like lots of alone time but as you said I spend most of that time on you tube, reading, hobbies, creating, research etc. Even when I’m self reflecting is usually a reaction to someone like Joe Dizpensa (sp?) often music will trigger an almost spiritual experience of existential realisations. Reactive. And the thing you said about the research where it has a social utility made me laugh. Most of my research is about being better at managing people. It’s a bit of a shift from seeing myself as an infj but makes so much sense. Thank you!

after learning deeply into cognitive function, I am confident that I am entp but the content in social media especially tiktok always makes me doubt because what they describe entp as is not who I am. they make me vary between entp and infj. I care about people, I'm not a heartless narcissist. I think before I speak anything so not to hurt anyone's feelings. I lead the conversation in positive direction. Even I choose the logical option but I still consider the best for everyone. Before I watch this video, I think maybe Im not entp, but infj that acted entp as defensive and coping way, but now I'm more ensure that I'm entp.

Oh my goodness! Thank you! I took the test that showed me as an ENTP 10 years ago and have only recently been researching more about it. Most of what I see and hear about ENTPs has made me doubt I really belonged in that category. But, in the first section of this video, I felt more seen than I have for a very long time. I do fight for the happiness of the people around me. Everything you said was spot on. I didn't expect to weep when I clicked on this video but that is exactly what happened. I was so surprised! Thank you for seeing us and for sharing what you see with others. It means a lot to me.

I was sure that I'm an intj for long too. To be clear I was an INFP according to the test for long, but this was a period when I was super depressed, so it couldn't be clear. When I started to explore mbti area I thout I was an INTP and after that INTJ, like this type fits me so well, how can I be a feeling type. I watched videos about infjs because I found them kinda about me, but I thought this is because I'm an INTJ with strong Fi, lol. Well, I'm not gonna write here all my journey, but I'm completely sure that I'm an INFJ, even if I don't fit stereotypes. I mean, this is my cognitive functions, that's it. And thank you very much for sharing your experience, its very helpful for me. I thought that you are a thinking type, I didn't expect you being an INFJ. And I guess no one can think about me the same. Like, I thought that INFJs are actually kinda analytical and calm, isn't it? But I had no evidence, because INFJ character, INFJ celebrities, there're not to much of them, so it's difficult to judge them in common. But your video helped me, thanks)

My husband of 16 years is a FANTASTIC, confident, charismatic and sweet, ENTP! He is seen as argumentative and righteous and a go getter, who started his own successful business. He doesn’t care what people think about him and says what he means and what he thinks. His brutal honesty but deeply caring and moralistic nature is what I admire the most. I have never really seen him rattled or look nervous. I am an overly emotional, spoilt, dreamy, moralistic, flighty and deeply thoughtful ENFP! I think it is touted that our personality match is not a great mix, but we work fantastically! We are each others ying to our yang! I liken him to Donald Trump, with a wink wink! And me to Kate Bush! Extra wink wink! An underrated dream team - very different, but quite the same in our convictions. I’ve just found this channel and love it already! Refreshing! Thank you!

Videos like these explore the ground and air around the object, and not the object itself. To me, I find that to be more useful, for the ground, or rather, the space is more expansive than the topic of the object. There are a lot more _Not’s_ to catch you than there are _Are’s._

The problem with this video is that it is blinded by the mbti cognitive stack error. Observation & Socionics proves ALL mbti-SJs actually lead with judging. ALL mbti-SPs actually lead with sensing. Including the introverts!!!!! So: Mbti- ISFJ = ISFj (ESI) leads with correctly defined FiSe = Relations enforced through external sensory actions like nursing. Mbti-ISTJ = ISTj (LSI) leads with correctly defined TiSe = laws enforced ✏️ 📝 . Example: Accounting. Mbti-ISTP = ISTp (SLI) leads with correctly defined SiTe = Sensory pragmatism 🔨 🛠 🪛 🔧 Mbti- ISFP = ISFp (SEI) leads with correctly defined SiFe = Sensory mood 💋 💄 Note: Thankfully Mbti only has the 4 introverted sensor's leading 2 functions wrong. Thankfully, it has the other 12 type's leading 2 functions right after doing a J and P switch ONLY for the introverted intuitives.

20:30 So does it signify that an INFJ is not apt for mathematically inclined academic or research setting due to NiTi's fluid approach which lacks rigor?
@icehuckyorkhawk7043
@icehuckyorkhawk7043 6 күн бұрын
In my experience, quite the opposite. The tendency of NiTi is to uncover approximate layouts for the solution to a given problem. It's not so much about optimizing the next step as in SiTi, but taking a step back and coming up with conjectures as to how the pieces all fit together. NiTi is able to see things SiTi can't and vice versa. These two pairings supplement each other quite well in academics, and both can lead to novel insights.
@nilanjanchanda597
@nilanjanchanda597 6 күн бұрын
@@icehuckyorkhawk7043 makes sense yeah it's kinda true what you described. But I kinda wanna know like how much percentage do you think an INFJ cognitively can succeed in mathematics with the approach of conceptualized conjecture making whether it can be efficient in understanding the problems which are full of calculations or to do complex proves e.g., how it's normally asked in IMO or other competitions?

Would SiTi be the cognitive process of working out math equations in your head, rather than writing everything out on paper?
@four2896
@four2896 Күн бұрын
I've actually seen Si-Ti people write a great deal of their calculations on paper. I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that idea comes from CS Joseph, but I also think that he was confusing Te with thinking externally, i.e. writing your thoughts on a piece of paper in front of you. Supposedly Si-Ti lacks Te because it's a blindspot. But with the CPT model it does not seem clear to me why any function should be a blindspot...

This is why this channel is so good. There are so many misstypes online but few take the time to investigate the details, the extenuating circumstances that may make a type present as another, such as Frodo always being typed as an INFP. It's understandable why that is so common, but it's only based on the state Frodo is in after the burden of the ring has weighed him down. The fact you could explain his real type speaks to your expertise in understanding the cognitive functions.

You are the only 16 personality types channel on KZbin (that I know of) that actually makes sense and has a logical/scientific approach to this. I love how you go for Jung’s original works to inform your understanding instead of using popular internet oversimplifications that make MBTI into some sort of new personality horoscope. It’s one of the reasons I don’t like discussing that topic anymore - it seems like most people ignore how complicated and fluid human psyche truly is. Personally, I see MBTI as the most sensible personality system out there but it doesn’t mean it’s always a perfect representation of human inner workings - but then again, can any personality system be perfect? It’d probably have to be overcomplicated and detailed to an ungodly degree to describe each person’s cognitive biases. And probably even then it wouldn’t be actually perfect since we’re all unique, I believe. Anyway, enough of my ramblings; I’m struggling to gauge whether I’m an INTP or an INFJ (the convergent Ti and divergent Fe present in both makes me unsure, unfortunately. I’m not that great at noticing my own personality so to speak, though I’m sure I fall into the Ti/Fe bracket), are you perhaps planning a video on the topic, or mayhap have any tips for a struggling fan? ^^

You're so right about channels who use stereotypes and ones who look deep into the theory and treat it systematically. I'd say mine's in the middle but trying to get more systematic and logical and avoid biases and stereotypes too much. MBTI is the best simplification I've found too! As an INTJ I've liked the being able to simplify everything into the functions then play around with it in my head and draw connections and apply them to the real world. I wonder if you're an INFJ you'd experience a similar thing. Yeah your Ti will be intense with either so maybe trying looking at Si. Are you really irrational and petty about certain Sensory things and routines (Si child) or do you actively enjoy going against sensory stuff and couldn't imagine having little routines (Si demon) Hope this helps! Yeah a video on this topic would be cool

Great analysis, I was thinking for a long time I was an introverted type, but watching those types of videos and actually understanding, what introversion truly is, I was never really a truly introverted person, cause majority of my life I'm a person of constant action/research-process/extremely purposeful, yet very private and seclusive, more of an ENTJ From all of those pairings, Te-Se was the most accurate for me, cause literally that's what I'm constantly doing, I can't imagine myself without acheiving something and I'm definitely not a workaholic at all, that's just what I do and what I'm excel at. On the other side, I can't really go like extremely deep into myself and constantly reflect upon some things, cause I just find this process kind of useless, nothing will change if you're gonna just sit and thing about future and what it COULD be instead of just doing something, and it even surprises me often, when people are amazed by my rationality/common sense, cause in my opinion I'm not really that great (probably oppositional Fi tricks), and, from what I've noticed, dislike Ti process, just all of this purely academical kind of approach which is really widespread in scientifical field, never was my forte nor I was interested in it Se is mostly used for kind of relaxing/as an agency function within Te-Se pairing, at least I can feel it like that, it's not obligating me doing anything, but it greatly helps with focusing on important tasks, my concentration was always incredible, since I was a child

Harry it's so cool that you're doing CPT and cognitive functions overall from the perspective of a mindful mind. It's no surprise to me as I've found Nx-doms to be the most likely types overall to get to this level. But it's great to analyze the functions from this vantage point and in some sense it's a natural progression to individuation. I think that's what Jung also had in mind when coming up with this stuff. Great work and keep up.

He’s objectively successful in terms of niche jungian type theory channels. Sure there are more successful Type channels but considering he isn’t doing standard mbti stuff his success speaks for itself. So perhaps your personal gripes with his presentation style is more of a you problem. Based on the relative success of this channel as a very niche/obscure jungian type system, I have to conclude his “charisma” isn’t really a weak point. I mean just look at the views and likes on his vids and His subscriber numbers, All while keeping in mind that this is an oddball theory within typology (which is already a niche market to begin with).
