Awesome, I love these birds. They feed from some trees & bushes at our place too. Then just recently one male has come over to us. We had no idea what he wanted until I noticed the tree had finished its fruit cycle. There’s other bushes they feed from throughout the year but he wanted to see what we could provide, so I tried all types of fruits but No. I bought a parrot seed stick & bingo! But I don’t think it’s a good idea, it just feels like the wrong food. I’m so glad I found your video here, I’ll make sure to get a bag of fresh sunflower seeds, almonds, corn & mixed veggies stocked in jars for them. This yard has become an animal haven, we’ve just had an echidna wander through & into the bush-garden! Only 2nd one I’ve seen in 50yrs, pretty amazing.

Thank you! Yes it's so funny when they do that. Their claws can be pretty sharp though!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I had a wild king parrot (I have never had a parrot around my house) and it landed 30 cm from me. I live in the middle of no where and we rarely sees wild king parrots and out of no where it landed right next to me. it was drop dead gorgeous. I'm still puzzled about where he came from as we never have them around and he wasn't an escaped pet, he had no leg band and was still wary

Wow that's so cool. They are very friendly! At a friends place something similar happened, I saw one king parrot and I'd never seen them there before. Strange!

Yes I have hand fed them 😊 I think it helps being in this area because a lot of people have made friends with the king parrots so they have been more social with new people ☺️
