Them pups are sure growing bud. If I had some decent places to run around here…I’d have me a pack.

@@longbowbanjoAL No, not within 75 miles. We have huge cutovers, if you don’t have briars up to your armpits you can’t have rabbits. The coyotes are so bad on them. Cutovers are so thick you can’t fall down in them. My buddy has a pack and a few places. They just run their dogs and don’t hardly ever shoot. We swap out rabbit hunts and squirrel hunts.

What if you don't have older dogs to help them? Planning on getting one within a couple years to hunt with.

find someone that does and run with them. it works faster that way. if you are pup only training get several instead of one.

I’m surprised that the rabbit didn’t take the pups out in the road to get them once and for all……. But I’m glad it didn’t! I’d hate for you to have to hunt with that cat!

Hey man how you doing , I have a beagle mix female & male. The female is pretty big & the male is a small dog . She just had 6 pups recently and I was wondering is it too late to start training them to hunt ? I don’t know her correct age but I believe she is 2-3 and the male is 2 . The pups are also 3 months now .
@longbowbanjoALАй бұрын
is the male and female both mixed? if so what are they mixed with and what was the daddy and momma. i need same info for the pups. and are you trying to train the grown dogs and the pups?

@@longbowbanjoAL sorry for the late reply but I honestly don’t know what they’re mixed with . I got both of them from people who were giving them away for free. Both had older dogs who wouldn’t play with them . They told me they were mixed with a hound type .

@@longbowbanjoAL & yes im trying to train them . I guess I’m really asking how do I get the best out of my dogs .. these are my first dogs I ever had and they’re amazing. The mom ( Saige ) is super fast and agile . she has an aggressive side , she sometimes be on guard when strangers walk by , just be on alert 😂 ear up might bark sometimes but i corrected that . Jump pretty high . The dad ( Apollo) is an energetic ball . Also fast & agile . He loves to chase any small animal he see . I see they both love doing that and tracking things when we’re out so I just don’t want to bored them .
