Yep, I somehow came across the soundtrack when it first came out before the movie had even hit theaters and did the same. One of my favorite movie soundtracks ever.

If I'm not mistaken, the same music was used in Ice Age 2 I think. That's why it sounds so familiar, I recognized it instantly

@@nunugirlswag109 it’s not the same exactly but they were done by the same composer and have very similar feel to them. Ice age 1,2 and 3 all came out before HTTYD and I feel like John Powell took a lot of what worked well for the Ice Age music and perfected it even further for HTTYD.

Something which you seemingly did not pick up on but could actually be seen in the blurred movie footage is Stoick, after telling Hiccup he's not his son, immediately staggering back once he realises what he had said.

If you ever end up watching the set of tv shows that went along with the movies they actually eventually explain what the name “Hiccup” really means Also, fun fact, Toothless wasn’t supposed to have his eye open when his face is first revealed in the forest, it was an animation error they rolled with because they felt it fit. Same with when he puts his head to Hiccup’s hand, that little bit of hesitation was an error that they kept because it just worked so well for the moment

Answers to your questions/comments made in the video: - The actor playing Hiccup is Jay Baruchel, and you're right, he was in She's Out Of My League and This Is The End. - Hiccup explained, when he revealed his name, that giving a child a "hideous name" is a tactic used by Viking parents to ward off gnomes and trolls and therefore keep their children safe. His middle name's even worse, lol - Horrendous. It's also a family name: his full name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. - 6:45 she said "mauling" lmao - Kit Harrington didn't voice anyone in this movie, but he does in the following movies. - Yeah, Toothless' movements and mannerisms were based on different animals, such as dogs and cats and bats. - Yep, the music was created for the soundtrack, by John Powell. If I remember right from the behind the scenes they looked at a bunch of animal characteristics to make toothless, but yeah cat is definitely in command here The movement, the eyes, coughing a fish piece back up, etc.

There's a reason for every scene: Hiccup figuring out that dragons aren't fireproof on the inside; Toothless waiting for apologies from both Astrid and Stoick (Hiccup's dad); everything that he learns about dragons from taking care of Toothless; and more. It's so well-made, and the other two are great as well. Sometimes sequels don't live up to the first movie, but the whole trilogy is amazing. I loved hearing your thoughts! When Toothless shot a plasma blast during his first flight with Hiccup, it cut off because his plasma blast is composed of acetylene and oxygen, which the oxygen cuts off at higher altitudes. That's why you see the fire near the end of that first flight.

YES! WHOO-OHH! Toothless (other than Sandy (rise of the guardians) Puss in boots (sherk) and Po (kung fu panda) is my absolutely favorite characters from Dreamworks. Just seen Puss in Boots 2 and I loved it, even though I still prefer the 1st movie! And my book's doing good, I was thinking about publishing it on Amazon, not sure yet. But overall great reaction and happy Valentine's day you two!

Kit is in the second movie. And the second movie is better than the first, I mean, the first is amazing and the second is even better, my favorite of the three. I agree with u mostly about the dad. However, Hiccup didn’t give his dad any heads up about what he was going to do and his dad didn’t think it was something that was possible. So he was really terrified for his son in that moment and was trying to save him. Imo
