Plus, in this case, Astrids original appearence would make her recognisable for those, that watch the film. And she's a viking! Vikings are typically blonde or red haired. It just doesn't make sense in this context.

I hope it turns out well. I mean, how difficult is it to just copy the exact script of the original animated version? While there isn't much effort if you think about it, many movies have shown that such a simple task can be quite difficult to achieve in the film industry: Remaking an old movie with new actors and techniques. Because the new script/story writers constantly seem to want to "prove themselves" or something, Idk... These trailers look promising. And honestly, Astrid's hair colour isn't one bit important to me if the rest of the movie is on point. I just hope that the trailer shots weren't handpicked to show the best while the truly bad shots/scenes/sequences are hidden until the movie comes out...

I think the astrid thing won't be too bad. Ot isnt like the little mermaid change, she at least looks similar to the character. I don't see why they have to race swap at all. But the trailer looked so good, I will hold my judgement until I see the movie. At least make her blonde.
