Mojang knows that live action seems like the most randomist and non-Minecrafty direction they could have gone but they are going to make it work. Besides it was planned to be Live Action for 14 years, even during its scripting hell phase, the original script likely did not involve the piglins.

I mean on youtube I got recommended a video by IGN that was supposed to be like an apology and that they heard the people's response, so the first teaser trailer, they saw how bad it went, and so instead of Jack Black playing "The" Steve. He plays "a" Steve. A simple guy who went mining, came across artifact and got to the world of minecraft. Meaning to explain to people: "Why the hoomans." Keep in mind: It's not "The" Minecraft Movie and everyone knows, so.. Either it's gonna suck or it won't be as bad. But I gotta give it to them with the models tho. At least they didn't screw up the bees xD

Same here. The director literally said himself that it was intended for the movie to be called “A Minecraft Movie” instead of “The Minecraft Movie”. Minecraft as a game never had an actual story; the story is what the player makes it.

This has been a constant thing I've been trying to tell people since the first trailer, but people are so hellbent on what they want the game to be, this is just Mojang and Warner Brother's version of the Minecraft World, its not the Playerbase's version of the Minecraft World for there is no consistant version of a Playerbase version. People are angry with Mojang for making the movie the way Mojang wants to make it because they think they are better than the actually creators of the game itself.

9:16 To give my personal opinion, not every movie adaptation of a video game needs to be animated. The only good animated ones I saw are Angry Birds and Super Mario, but there are actually more live action video game adaptations that are pretty good, like Mortal Kombat, Detective Pikachu, the two Sonic movies and even FNAF. And I for one actually think this trailer makes the movie look better than the first one did, and I can’t wait it see it when it comes out (or at least sometime afterwards.) So, again, I don’t care about a video game adaptation being animated or live action, as long as it’s still faithful to the source material.

I was so skeptical about the Live Action httyd movie, but it honestly looks so good! I love both Mason Thames (Hiccup) and Nico Parker (Astrid) and cannot wait to see their performances in the movie! I will say, I honestly think it is so stupid to hate on the movie or on Nico for her playing Astrid because Astrid's white. saying she can't play a character because she isn't white or blonde is honestly stupid. in my opinion, as long as Nico and bring the personality and attitude as Astrid, I am perfectly fine with her playing the role.

Yeah see you when it comes to dragons those are easy to animate in any type of CGI. So you can do them animated first and then convert them to realistic CGI but people are different for some reason. Like I heard that they're going to do a live action Moana but now he's just going to be the rock which looks nothing like Maui sounds nothing like Maui do you get the point it's easier to convert something to animated instead of converting it to realistic unless it's already made up like a dragon.
