You see I feel the age of remaking animated movies into live action has kinda past and what I mean by that is people’s curiosity of seeing a animated movie in live action, now don’t get me wrong this looks beautiful to the actors clothes, set design, locations and obviously toothless literally looks like he was just taken from the animated movies and put into the real world with little touch ups they didn’t try and make it look realistic like Pete’s dragon but I don’t know. how I felt watching this trailer all I felt was I’ve already seen this before

Hah! if you have to do a live action remake, do it like this. At least from the little bit we see in this trailer, its very faithful to the animated version. They even cast Gerard butler to be Stoick (the dad), he also voiced the animation.

So I’m not sure if the names of all the actors, but the kid from Deadpool 2 if playing Fishlegs, and Nick Frost is playing Gobber The casting for Ruffnut & Tuffnut doesn’t sit with me as the actors are both nearly in their 30’s, and also don’t really look alike (which is just weird considering this movie seems to be a shot for shot remake and the twins are, well… twins who are essentially identical)

I'm happy to see toothless, I'm happy to hear the soundtrack. I'm less happy that I'm judging every scene against the original, and I'm finding literally slight bits off and being like "well, this is shit" when if I hadn't seen the original and this wasn't a shot for shot of it, I wouldn't be doing that. I don't even want to. My brain just does it.
