Fantastic. Recently purchased my first iPhone (always has Androids) and have been watching other videos to learn how to use. But all the videos on this process had me using iTunes (I didn't want to pay monthly fee), using VCL, etc. This is the easiest and BEST way to transfer my files from window PC to iPhone. I don't get it :/ I mean, where is the part when I connect the phone to the PC with a cable, the phone asks me if I wanna transfer files, propagate my device as a media device, a camera, a tether device, a reversed charger, a reversed master->slave device or I just simply wanna charge the phone's battery? Where is it?

the issue is that you need to have space in your phone to do that, if you're running out of space this won't work, do you have another method

Very good video as far as it goes, but I would think many folks are interested in transferring music (mp3) files. If I purchase more space on iCloud (which I don't want to do) will my music files be there so I can download to my girlfriend's computer? I actually knew how to do everything the video covers, but I am interested in transferring music, which I know Apple doesn't want us to do because they want us to buy music from the Apple store. Sorry, not going to do that.

That’s kind of the point. Apple deliberately makes this stuff easier if you’re performing these operations between two apple devices and more difficult if one of them is a non-apple device. They’re trying to incentivize you to buy in to their ecosystem. Airdrop only works natively (ie without downloading a 3rd party app) between apple devices and if i’m not mistaken it can utilize bluetooth as well as wifi to transfer files.

This is not a viable solution if you are dealing with gigabytes and gigabytes of files. With the android, you simply connected directly to your PC and you’re free to copy whatever files you need to back-and-forth.

iPhone storage is only useful if one takes a lot of photos and videos in high resolution, and installs many apps. For better file management and multipurpose use, Android file system is better.

I just don't understand why we can't click and drag files like we have been doing on computers since the invention of windows 3.0 circa 1987/1988??? This feels like a reversion back to DOS/ 40-year step backwards in time... this process seems unnecessarily tedious! ...furthermore- I tried this with my iphone 12 mini- NOT THE SAME- not even close. none of these menus on my phone are even remotely similar to the ones shown in this video. I want to save just one iMessage thread to my PC but there is no way to save it to Files and you did mention messages along with the other things that can be transferred. NOTE: I went to delete anytrans off my pc since I wouldn’t spend $40 and a screen popped up offering it for $25 which is a fair price! Maybe you could share that tip with your subscribers.

I've done something wrong!! I have 250+ photos on the iCloud Drive & it will only let me download each photo separately, not as a group, plus it's telling me I need to download "heic" to my computer or I can't view the photos. I really feel APPLE does this on purpose, so we have to buy more stuff to view our photos!! 1K for a phone is enough, I'm not buying more crap!! I'll just pay a computer tech person to remove all my photos from my phone to my PC or buy a photo device that saves & organizes all my photos.

50GB or less in size and you don't exceed your iCloud storage limit. Vid helped a lot, but the easiest way to transfer any file is with a cable attached to android device the only people who use iPhones are fifth graders, teenage girls, and lil' ole' ladies who use their $2000 iPhone as a phone

The least transferring of files method from iPhone to PC should have been through Bluetooth connection since cable connection isn’t working. This process is unnecessarily tedious and frustrating. iPhone developers should have done better. This is so annoying. I think I prefer an android to iOS. iOS makes everything so difficult. I’ve never enjoyed my iPhone ever since I bought it. It’s always one tedious process or the other.
