Just an observation, but Smart Switch doesn't utilize internet for transferring data between devices, so you don't need to worry about being connected to Wi-Fi or not. It uses Wi-Fi Direct between both phones to send and receive data.

It needs the Internet to sign into Google, else nice of the Google apps will work.

@RonDAvilar That's true. But I just meant to say that aside from that, Smart Switch doesn't require internet to work due to how it connects both devices locally, making it possible to transfer selected files, settings or apps without needing to be online for that.

I had an s21 and upgraded to the s23 ultra and used the wireless Smart Switch. I still had to set up a few minor things like special phone rings but it was easy. If you try the USB connection, be careful: Auto Blocker is installed in a number of phones now, so that must be disabled!

Saki, please note that yiu need a minimum 500mb of data to use Smart Switch. My friend with an old Samsung A11 with 32Ggb internal who tried to transfer to a Samsung A35 5G at tge Samsung store but he can't do it because the lack of storage space.

It also gets transferred I guess..Because when I used smart switch on my PC for backup.It also backed up secure folder & restored into my other phone

Except this won't work if OLD phone won't send the data, and you get an error message. And then the tech support Fries your laptop hard drive when they recommend using USB cables. Ask me how I know this. Then HP can't fix the fried hard drive. 🤡😩💩🤬
