I love the rabbits foot fern along with its tarantula looking rhizomes. I have mine potted in pure orchid bark at the moment, as they are epiphytic. Good to know it works well in Leca. Thanks for another informative video!!!! ❤

Mine lives in soil in the shade and grows just fine as long as I keep it moist. One of the few true low-light plants.

If I were doing it, I would probably use the long method instead of putting it straight into leca.

Whats the point of doing this when the risk of losing the plant is high?

Interesting question. It goes back to why I use leca and not potting mix. The risk of loosing the plant is not high, that is a misconception. If the transfer is done right the plant will thrive. My plants grow better, bigger, healthier in leca, fewer pests, it is reusable and so much cleaner 😀.

I lost more plants to failed hydroponics transfers than I did to pests. Ususally the entire root system will go bye bye. Nowadays I only use rooted cutting in semi hydro. As for pests plants in hydro will still get thrips, spider mites and mealy bugs.

@AcrylDame I am sorry that that was your experience. We all have different ones and thankfully transfers work for me. And yes, for sure pests, when I say fewer I certainly don't mean no pests. 😊
