I'll like to give a big recommendation. DON'T CHEAP OUT ON YOUR INTERFACE, SERIOUSLY. Worst thing you can do. Preamps on cheap interface are not good at all and they tend to clip a lot. Furthermore, the electronics inside generate a lot of noise and in the case of a home studio where you don't have the best acoustic treatment can be a pain in the ass. Second point. I'll recommend a lot getting a good dynamic mic if acoustic treatment is a problem so this guy actually did a better purchase getting the AT2040 instead of the AT2020 which I don't recommend either because it gets really harsh in the high frequencies. NT1 is 100% the choice between the microphones he showed.
