Does a lot of body weight repetitions like for example,500 body weight squats, going to build fast twitch muscle fibers to run faster?

well, if you're talking about squats then no, because squats target the slow twitch muscle fibers (type 1) which make for endurance and stamina. so doing a lot of squats would increase that, but since you want to run faster in a short period of time do what's in the video (sprint training, plyometrics..), these target the fast twitch muscle fibers like you said, the type 2
