You’ve helped give me much more clarity as a teacher wanting to get into this field. ❤ from the UK. Next, I wonder what types of mock-up projects can I do to start building a portfolio

I'm so happy to hear that! Thanks for watching! As for projects for your portfolio, I'd suggest checking out our monthly design challenge, which are designed exactly for that: community.elearningacademy.io/c/design-challenges/

The two things I am struggling with are developing a portfolio and learning the advanced techniques in Storyline 360. I can make tab interactions and drag and drops but that's all I've attempted. I've watched videos (and still have more to watch) so that is helpful. My Storyline free trial expires soon and I don't know if I want to shell out $1000 dollars, but I know I have to keep working on it. Catch 22.

I don't know if you are still thinking about this but if you have an .edu address you can likely request the discount for (still $500) for an academic license!

Excellent tips! I think the biggest one I wish I had tried was using as many free tools as I could first to show some of my basic skills and then translate those / upskill them into the paid for products.

Hi, as an aspiring e-learning designer, my current struggle is creating a portfolio. I don't have the experience to create any flagship e- learning experiences for real clients so I am leaning towards just creating mock mini-course modules, infographics, and video tutorials for content I'm familiar with.

I'm a teacher who bought your program last year and found it so helpful. Life got in the way, how easy is it to start the program over and really dive in to give it another shot?

Whenever you want! Just shoot me an email if you need help getting back into it. We have several students from past cohorts who are still working through the course.

Respected Sir, I teach Biology in colleges. Can you please suggest the kind of companies that recruit teachers as instructional Designers in Higher Education. I was searching myself and came across only etutoring companies. Are there any other options? Grateful for your help. Thank You.

Thanks for watching and posting the question. I can't say there are any specific companies that recruit specifically for those who used to work in Higher Ed. This will vary from company to company and from hiring manager to hiring manager. You may want to look at EdTech companies...but even then, I can't say for certain that they're looking specifically for higher ed folks.
