Instead of an open bucket, use a pop bottle with pencil hole sized holes (2) in the sides above mid section - this stops bees getting trapped inside.

Thank you for great info. I will try the molasses trap. I have used the bag method. Actually it works very well.But time consuming. I wish some one would come up with a sort of small bowl cover with elastic that will snug up around fruit.The bag method also works to control J. Beetles. I have used them on grape clusters , peaches , apples and even Tomatoes. They must have holes to allow water to escape.

100% Worm Casting, around my apple trees keeps codling moth away something about the smell or casting. I have small apple trees and "It really work." A 2015 study by UC Davis in California.

Yes. We just put a layer of fine mesh (think shower scrubby deconstructed or fine onion bag). We just applied tape around the container to secure the mesh in place.

An old fashioned remedy--banana peel in gallon milk jug with 1 c. sugar+1 c. vinegar+2 or 3 cups water. Moths will enter the small jug opening. Hang in tree!!

Tried several of these traps last year in my orchard, and would not use again. The problem I found was they do not target the moths only. Mine had more beneficial insects then moths.

This did not work for me. I have 3 asian pear trees with 100% of the fruits infected every year and this suggestion made 0 difference. They even got past organza bags. I'll try zip lock bags next year.
