Vlad the Impaler gets a bad rap......for somewhat good reasons. But he also knew how to flush out traitors and spot enemies before they become a problem. With some snazzy tactics that we can use in our lives (wooden spikes not included)

This is a bit different than my usual type of videos. Its from my second channel Bandit Strategy. I'm going to start uploading the history/strategy videos on this channel. Because I'm getting bored of just talking movies all the time, and want to broaden out a bit in terms of content. And will change Bandit Strategy channel into just Survivor reviews (yes I'm a Survivor fan. Don't laugh)

My Survivor memories. Dirty necked chicken masturbater (an insult slung by Sue, old school I’m shocked I remember). The dude who passed out in the fire. The guy who looked like Mr. Miyagi was backed up with shit then heli’d out of there. Naked Bruce Vilanche. Oh how about Johnny Fairplay goofing bout his grandma. Then getting his teeth smashed out? Oh and the Trans person being outed, that shit was rude.

It's like I always say. There two types of homeless people in this world. The type that is down on their luck. And the type that refuses to participate in contributing to society. I must totally agree with Vlads decision on this issue. The dude who took the land to work on was simply a guy down on his luck. The beggar's that came for the meals, well, clearly they were the opposite. The equivalent of today's dope fiends and needy greedy's.
@usernamepassword9091

I'm not homeless (yet) but I'm definitely one of those people who deep down would rather contribute fuck all, sniff smack and dribble on the carpet. What does one do about this other than impale oneself?

So there are people who bow to society's rules, and those honest to themselves who want just benefits for themselves, and you would kill the honest ones. Guess that someone really sees society's upside down: to think that originally we created it to make life easyer, rather than harder, is simply baffling.
@captainarcher2
@captainarcher2 4 жыл бұрын
Man, you've nailed it. You failed to take into account that the man down on his luck was a disabled ex soldier. It makes a big difference in comparison to a regular civilian in the same situation that never served any army a day in his life. Also : The military man would have seen the need in Vlads war effort to stop the Muslim expansion. In any war one of the prime tactics in defeating an army is to cut off one's food supply so that they are too weak to fight.

@@justthunderbolt40 You're applying a modern perspective to the 15th century. Today's society is backwards because cotemporary rulers aren't looking out for sovereign nor civilian interests anymore but rather self-servient to their global agendas. The society you're describing that aligns with the story above would be the Ottoman Empire of the time, for their indoctrination (and castration) of kidnapped children.

Tyrion Lannister used the same strategy on the council telling each member he was going to marry Myrcella to a different lord and telling them to keep it a secret. When Cersei showed up at his door outraged that he was going to marry her to Trystane (the one of which he told Pycelle), he knew who he could trust the least and sent Pycelle on his merry way to the dungeons.

Vlad II Dracul, the father of Vlad III Dracul (Țepeș) was the founder of the Drăculeşti dynasty, which lasted until the 17th century. The surname "Țepeș" is actually a nickname (given by the Turks) given to Vlad III Dracul(a) as a result of the method of stabbing used by him. This nickname “Țepeș”, it is associated with Vlad after his death, has remained in use to this day.

But he didn't destroy his enemies. He murdered nobles in his own home and gave himself over to hideous excesses of violence and cruelty against the peasantry. I mean yeah he scared the shit out of mehmed but due to the utter inhumanity of his crimes, his former allies completely turned on him and he died a criminal with his ottoman-whipped brother Radu on what should have been Vlad's throne. He was a great warrior, but also a lesson in how giving yourself over to violence completely can and will destroy you.

Hello, You could have mentioned that the other half of the inspiration came from Countess Erzsebet Bathory. Vlad was a bloodthirsty ruler but he wasn't blood thirsty. Maybe you could do a video on her at some point and link to this one? So that people have a full explanation of the character Dracula? I got to say, though, this is the first time I hear an accurate story from somebody who isn't Romanian. So cheers for that!
