Never knew about adding the other medication to the Benadryl, thank you. Many years ago, my grandmother told me 2 home remedies that worked. The first was making a past out of baking soda, I believe, and putting it on a sting. I know she used it several times on my brother and I and it worked. The 2nd was putting moist snuff or chewing tobacco on the sting. I’ve used that several times over the years, not only on bee stings, but caterpillar bites/stings and it does work with the pain and swelling. I have no idea why they work, but they do, lol.

Nice tobacco works as a vasoconstrictor. Not sure on Baking soda.

He does not tell you what to do for a sting until about the 4:40 mark. So if you are in a hurry skip to that section.

Very informative video. I spend a lot of time outdoors and about 15 years ago developed an anaphylaxis reaction to bull ants which live in this area. Bit of a bummer, but luckily they are only aggressive when their nest is disturbed. I've gotten really good at spotting their nests, and the EpiPen is usually not too far away.

Ty much appreciated. Yes fire ants are a pain. Glad you made it through the anaphylaxsis.

🐝Muscle Rub (bengay) around the swell area helps calm it down some. Aand if you not highly allergic then take a ibuprofen or Tylenol

I was stung on the ankle last week while doing yard work. I only noticed the very painful sting to the Achilles. I iced it as well as taking antihistamine and ibuprofen. I’m only finding out now, via severe redness and itching, the multiple other shallow stings to the side of my ankle. I see a tiny dark spots at the center of the puffy welts.

just got stung by a bee whilst I was sleeping in bed at night. I don't know where the bee came from since no windows were open. It stung me in the back. I had to quickly shower and dry my back for 2 mins .I hope I will be ok now going back to bed . Could feel the stung though. And I can't take the stung out, because it's in my back and can't see or reach it .

Do you not go into to work beehives while you already have swelling that's still there?

. Not understanding your question. Working bee hives with swelling where?
@noahriding57803 жыл бұрын
@@SurviveOutdoors If you are working beehives as a beekeper, do they try to not go into other hives while all swollen up? A lot of people looking at this video may be beekeepers.

@@noahriding5780 Excellent question. I should of addressed that in more detail. Delayed response after getting stung a few months down the road can be worse. However, people who have been stung numerous times over a time period months or years can build a slow immunity. My father kept bees. Stung numerous times. Initially it was ugly. Over time his response was minimal to non existent. So yes and no. Clearly depends on the response over time. Hope that explains.
