I got melasma at 25 aprox.. probably because birth controll pills, I have also had plenty sunburns when I was younger. Or it could be the colored foundation/skin cream I was using that time. Probably the pills though, and Ive had it since that day in the mountain sun. It’s most prominent in summer as it’s not as sunny all year. I wear spf 50 and try to make sure I always wear it at least when it’s visible sun. I also wear a cap very often. I tried first using spf 30 but it’s not enough and Im not going back to that.

I use sunscreen indoor and outdoor SPF 50. Use raw turmeric face pack twice weekly. Apply vitamin e capsule on affected area daily before bed. I have seen a lot of improvement after I started following this routine. Its almost fading away now. Always remember SUN EXPOSURE is our worst enemy. Also wash your face thoroughly if u use hair colours. Keep your face clean always. Demelan cream is also good.
