Hello everyone, from my own experience. Aloe vera the actual leaf, cut the skin off and put the gel in your dog's food a couple of times a day. I did it, my dogs seizures actually stopped. He would only have them every once in awhile then getting more frequent. Not anymore!

The dog that I had to use if a chihuahua, he should be a right behind me and he's fine I haven't seen a seizure and I can't even remember how long. My other dogs are fine! I also have as you see in the picture Fila Brasileiro, I'm pretty sure has old American bulldog in his ancestry, among other breeds. If you've never heard of a Fila before, please look it up , it's an amazing breed, not for everyone though. His next birthday he'll be 11, no bumps no lumps, he's blessed! My dog has had seizures/cluster seizures for over 3 years and the medication isn’t helping at all now. Two weeks ago I looked at all the KZbin videos and someone suggested Keto diet with a range of natural remedies. The Keto diet is a faff for my dog as she is already on a low fat diet for other health problems. She was having 3 fits a week and rather than increase her medication ‘again’ I decided to try the natural remedies and she hasn’t had a fit since. With her morning and afternoon meal she has 1/4 tsp of kelp, 1/4 tsp of ground ginger powder, 1/4 tsp of cod liver oil and 1 tsp of organic hemp seed oil (the one you drizzle over your salads). (She is a collie size so you would adjust the amount for your dog). Please note at the moment she is still on her prescription of 2 x 180mg epiphen, which would have had to be increased if this didn’t work. I wanted to share as I cannot believe that something so simple could work like it has.

I have been using Epiphen with my dog for 2 years but unfortunately they have slowly returned. After researching for many months I tried her on Taurine and it has totally stopped it. I have documented her seizures for the last 2 years and have a full record of all of her medication increases and the amount of seizures. I have also put this finding on KZbin under (Dogs with Epilepsy) my channel is (Just Kidding), i do weekly updates and I have been reducing the Epiphen by 1 mg per week. This Taurine is a natural ameno acid that prevents Mitochondrial dysfunction within the brain, its also beneficial for the heart, kidneys and especially good for the liver and should reverse any liver damage caused by the Epiphen. There are no nasty side effects and another positive is it supports GABA in the brain preventing neurotoxicity and stress it also stimulates Neurogenesis which is anti-aging so we might even get a couple of extra years out of her.

cbd/cbg oil orally and a mix of lemon balm/ frankincense on dogs pad inside. stops them immediately. our boy is a cane corso puppy and was told they can be genetic. he is still growing at 11 mo he is 124lb. we also changed his food. u may want to look into the food part as they should not have any table scraps. I was coking their food as I thought it would be better, because of the breed and growth he has to have solid protein fats NO CARBS. I also put raw hamburger meat and cottage cheese for his food. hes so far doing a lot better.

My English Mastiff dog is 8.5 years old and weighs 60-70 kg. Over the past few months, he has been experiencing multiple seizures, with two seizures occurring consecutively within 4-5 minutes. I noticed a pattern where the seizures happen on the 1st and 13th-14th of every month, coinciding with the days of either the new moon or full moon. Initially, he was given Gardinal tablets on a maintenance basis, followed by leveratacetam syrup for 1.5 months. After that, the same medication was administered through the anus on a weekly basis. Later, KBr tablets were prescribed, but unfortunately, they didn't show any improvement in the duration or frequency of the seizures. Currently, my dog is on KBr tablets and nurokind syrup, but the situation hasn't improved. It's concerning to see no progress, and I'm unsure about the next steps to take. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

It worked when I mixed both medications, with almost a year without seizures, but then it started again... Now my dog doesnt respond well to KBr anymore and shes just with phenobarbital alone with monthly seizures.

We used CBD oil and it reduced a stomach tumor, but guess it had spread to the brain. Seizures weren't as severe by continuing the CBD oil. We now know magnesium and melatonin help with seizures in dogs.

Look into l-Leucine, studies on Pubmed.org. Also try grain free. One comment said aloe leaf. My dog went 10 months between and we ran out of l-Leucine, and he did have one last night so it has made me believe it was helping. The downside is I have no idea the correct dose. I could not find any dose guidance.

Not all dogs respond with to traditional seizere medications. My dog takes 1500 mg of Keppra and 3 tablets of Phenobarbital every day and unfortunately continues to have 1 seizure every 3 weeks sometimes clusters. Some dogs do well with them Unfortunately he's not responded well and these meds have made him a little aggressive towards other dogs. My vet keeps increasing the daily dose but without improvement . Most vets won't or can't recommend CBD products so without my vets consent I've elected to put him on a cbd product sold by Sharman Canine 300 water soluble cbd daily supplements. I'm hoping for the best but it's to soon to tell how effective it is but I do think it's helped him with pre seizure when I think he might be having an episode coming on as well as with recovery and severity after the seizere. Good luck to all fighting and searching for an answer.

The Vegan Martial Arts Café I urge you please to look at some of the videos right here on KZbin of people who are healing their dogs with CBD oil ..you know the oil from cannabis. And it does not have the THC in it which gets people high ...it just has the healing part of the plant the cannabinoid oil.. And you can also read the comments of people who have used this and swear by it and tell you that their pets are doing so much better now ....they also use it as a preventative some of them have taken their pets completely off the phenobarbital. There is also a vet here who talks about the CBD oil and he also has another vid on epilepsy in dogs where he talks about and shows you an acupressure point that will stop the seizures. It is a point just below the nose but above the mouth and somebody swears it really works but they said you only do it IF they are having a seizure but they said it works instantly and will STOP the seizure... .. if you want me to find those vids with that vet I will find them if you're interested.

atul singh Look at the videos here of people using cannabinoid oil to get rid of seizures in their dogs. It is also called CBD oil and do not use hemp oil it is not the same... there is also a veterinarian who has a video where he shows you an acupressure point just below the dog's nose and if you press that while they're having a seizure it will make it go away. That veterinarian talks about the CBD oil and if you want I can try to find those videos again and also the other one where he talks about the acupressure point for the epilepsy ..he shows the place on the dog's face

I wish I could help you but I can't because I'm trying to find information for a friend of mine whose dog has epilepsy and that's why I'm here on these sites... it is other people who have videos showing that their dogs have stopped having seizures from using the CBD oil... but I personally know nothing about the different brands and if you will read comments where people say the CBD oil works on their dog you need to try to reply to them and ask them what brand are using or ask somebody who would know more about CBD oil because I don't know anything about the different brands. There are a couple people on KZbin that act like they are experts about CBD oil and you might want to contact them. But I will tell you this there is an acupressure point that you can press on a dog to make their seizure stop instantly and it is just below the tip of their nose. If you go to a video on the veterinarian Secrets Channel he shows you five ways to make a dog stop having seizures and it's either the last one or the next to the last one where he shows you how to use the acupressure point on the dog and it is just below the nose. I feel very bad for your dog I really do so please at least find that thing about the acupressure point on the dog to get rid of the seizure. Now that I think about it it might be on another video by that doctor that has acupressure points for different problems on the dog...

My mini dachshund has had seizures and the vet said that they are idiopathic he just doesnt know what causes them. I did my own research found out that a grain free diet pretty much worked but. I cant take her to the groomers or the vet because she has a seizure because she is so scared. Thats the only time she has one and then doesnt have anymore after.

It's your pet still having those seizures... sounds like you could be allergic to the medicine... unless you had changed his food to something that he's allergic to.. If you Google foods and things that can cause seizures in dogs... a name like that you will see an article called Canna pet blog.. it was April 7th 2017 and it tells you the many many things that can cause seizures and dogs probably cats to everything from pesticides and Lawns to certain types of scented candles to stuff in their food

Darlene Gallagher I hope you mean you are using the CBD oil... the cannabinoid oil has no THC in it and therefore you don't have to worry about it getting your pet high and it only has the healing part of the plant in it. Please share your story with other people and maybe even make a video about it ...we need as many people out there who are healing their pets epilepsy with the CBD oil to talk about it on KZbin because the phenobarbital is very dangerous for these animals. Also there's supposed to be an acupressure point just below the nose that if you press it when they're having a seizure it will make the seizure go away. If you want me to find that video I can try to look for it again

Hello! Yes my dog is on it he takes 2.6 ml three times a day (he weights 14 kilos). He has been taking it for 5 months with no seizures while on it. Right now we are trying to reduce the dosis and find the right one for him. We are also trying to get him off kibble and on a B.A.R.F diet cause I’ve read some kibble brands have cause dogs to have seizures. Hope this helps!
