Ulcerative pododermatitis, known commonly as 'bumble foot' is a common infection found in all birds all around the world - including with birds of prey in captivity. If you are considering keeping an owl, hawk, falcon or any other raptor, it is essential that you understand what bumble foot is, how to avoid it and what to do if you discover your bird has it.
