How to Trigger a POWER AUTOMATE flow from EXCEL | For a selected row

The For a selected row trigger is deprecated. I did the whole exercise but the flow is no longer appearing in the excel file either. So we cannot run it anymore

@RezaDorrani surely, "the For a selected row, complete a custom action" template is already deprecated and no longer works. As a workaround, one just needs to create a blank flow and add the For a selected row Excel online for business trigger. Then just follow the same steps as the video

@dwang085 if there was a way to trigger the flow automatically when a cell value changed maybe you could have data validation in its own little table? Then write the flow to first evaluate the selected value when you pick something from the drop down list? This way it would only send the email if a certain value was selected. That might also allow the flow to reset the drop down list value back to a default ? Idk. Just an idea

Hi Reza, thank you for posting, your content is great. I created a flow to get two tables from excel and send an email, it works great. I shared the flow for a run only user, they get an environment error in Excel and. We only have 1 environment. User has all correct permissions. can access excel and power automate the flow doesn't show up for them either. Thank you

@@RezaDorrani i've found why : if i'am looking "for a selected row" from template, i can only the deprecated one but if "Build an instant cloud flow", i find "For a selected row (excel online for business) and then everything is ok ! So for me, when i click on templates from excel, it's not working because i only found the other that is not working. Very strange, your flow is as instant cloud flow ?

I have an excel in sharepoint which has Expiry date for certificates, on a recurrence check everyday, I want excel to send me an email notification if the date is expired. Hello Reza, If one of my inputs for the excel for a selected row trigger is a file. How to I get this to attach? I keep getting an error. I choose the name of the input for the name part of input from the dynamic content. For the content I choose the content bytes of the input. For that, you need to run the flow on a daily schedule, and query excel file to check if any dates match todays date and then send email. I do not have a specific videos reference on this though.
